Coverage of The U.S. Open gave NBC a boost, but ABC won this third Sunday in June as a result of game 5 of the NBA Finals, Lakers vs. the Celtics. ABC aired a combination of a repeat of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Jimmy Kimmel Live, NBA Countdown and the game five match-up. But since basketball in the Central Time Zone could be factored into the 8 p.m. hour, here are the results for ABC by half-hour:

The U.S. Open on NBC soared, meanwhile, with 13.84 million viewers and a 3.9/13 among adults 18-49 from 7-9 p.m. That led into a repeat of SNL: The Best of Mike Myers at a mere (and approximate) 4.62 million viewers and a 1.9/ 5 in the demo from 9-11 p.m.
A repeat of CBS granddaddy 60 Minutes opened the evening on a below-average note, with 7.29 million viewers (#2) and a 1.3/ 5 among adults 18-49 (#3) from 7-8 p.m. That led into The 62nd Annual Tony Awards at a typically bland 6.19 million viewers and a 1.1/ 3 among adults 18-49 from 8-11 p.m.
