That much for GA actors? I'm surprised. I would pay 400k just to see Pompeo gone
I know. If Pompeo finds work after GA i'll be very surprised. She's just so bad So maybe she agrees with me and she's making her savings now while she can and the show is a hit.

HBO is ordering a second season of new series "True Blood" after just two episodes.
The series, which follows the adventures of vampires in New Orleans, will go back into production early next year in anticipation of a new batch of episodes for the summer of 2009.
While the premiere episode of the series received a modest audience, HBO cited an "unprecedented" 24% increase in viewers for the second installment. In addition, the "Blood" premiere drew 4 million when additional runs of the that episode were tallied.
"We are absolutely thrilled that the critics and our viewers have embraced 'True Blood,'" said Michael Lombardo, president of programming group and West Coast operations at HBO. "Alan Ball has done it again--made an addictive series that is unlike any other."
"I am thrilled to be able to continue to work with such a talented group of writers, cast and crew to explore the characters and world created by Charlaine Harris in her novels," said Alan Ball, executive producer of "Blood."

The X-Files wasn't very kind with me. Or really, with its audience, which is why it lost most of it before it ended. It was the best of shows, it was the worst of shows--but mainly the latter.
pisher... I hear where you're coming from… But, I'm just addressing the producers on their assessment that Fringe is not like X Files specifically… If they were saying that Fringe was the most unique show ever, then I would take it to the level that you are.
I didn’t say that the x files was the first to talk about projeria, just the last that I know of.
Chris Carter has openly stated in interviews that he borrows heavily from others and throws his spin on it.... The produces of Fringe should do the same

True enough, but I find that I can at leats vaguely relate to lawyer and doctor shows. I can even find soemthing to relate to with sci-fi/fantasy shows like BSG, Star Trek, or Reaper. I didn't find anything on Fringe I could relate to. I was given the impression that it would always just be a series of 'new and surprising weird stuff', like Lost or X-files.
I think Jennifer Garner is a great actress even in small parts like Juno,
The fact that she took a small role, billed under a younger nearly-unknown actress, in a 7.5mil indie--kinda makes my point, huh? Her leading lady days are pretty much done.

and she's much more appealing than Torv. (IMO, to each his own)
They are both typical Bad Robot actresses, cast more for looks than talent, but having a bit of both. The idea that Garner is something special and Torv is just eye candy is nonsense. They both worked hard to become actresses, they both look great in their underwear, neither is going to be remembered as an inspired thespian or a huge star.

And as far as i'm concerned Alias was a great show for 3 seasons, not just the first, though that was the best.
S2 was pretty good, but honestly--the whole show just fell to pieces, and I could never watch it again. And you'll note nobody IS watching it now, unless they have it on DVD. It's disappeared from the face of television. Even the SciFi Channel isn't showing it. Sheesh, the SciFi Channel shows Special Unit 2 sometimes.
The Biggest Loser did pretty well for NBC considering they dragggg it out so long. If the show was only an hour, theres not a doubt in my mind the show would be between 9 and 10 million viewers each week.

To me, this is like complaining that there are too many horses in Bonanza.
You don't like the show, which is understandable--but you're trying to find a rationale for the fact that you do like Reaper--a show that most people would take one look at, snort disgustedly, and change the channel.
Individual tastes do not have to be explained, or justified, and for the luvvamike don't RATIONALIZE them.
Fringe is not a great show, but it's way better than Reaper.

I don't think there's anything wrong in taking a part in a good script. Most actors take secondary roles, especially in childs or teen movies. Just look at the Harry Potter frachise. It's full of great actors in secondary roles. The kids are the stars but they were unheard of before. I don't criticise actors no matter the importance of the role unless they're not good on the role.

Garner has never been a robot. On the contrary, she's a very emotional actress and she's great in dramatic scenes. And I never said Torv wasn't a good actress, she is. I just prefer Garner. As far as eye candy, Fringe is definitelly lacking on that. No one on the cast does much for me.

It did fall to pieces, but I still remember it a great fun show. And Garner rocked as Sydney.

Where did I say there was anything wrong with it?
But would Julia Roberts have done it?
Would Sarah Jessica Parker have done it?
Geez, would Kate Hudson have done it?
NO. Because they're still leading lady material.

Actually, very few of those actors could play the lead in a major motion picture today. Yes, even the biggest stars don't remain leads forever, but Garner is in her 30's, and nobody had heard of her before Alias.
A better example would be Jodie Foster agreeing to be in Nim's Island, but she was playing the adult female lead, and boy was that a bad idea. Personally, I think she just wanted to work with Abigail Breslin. But in any event, Foster is a really established star--Garner isn't. And Breslin is never going to compete with Foster for roles--Page has already passed Garner.

You do get I was referring to Abrams' production company, right? Well, maybe not.
pisher, I don't care about this discussion enough to continue to answer to every quote you say. If tou want to continue to bash Jennifer Garner, find some place else and be free to ignore the 3 leading roles she has in upcoming movies.
OAN, is anyone excited for Supernatural tomorrow? I look forward to seeing Dean dig out of that grave!
