I think NASCAR has made a great deal of progress away from regional sport's label. If you look at the NASCAR's ratings in the winter/ spring time period it delivers pretty strong demos. Even through most of the summer the numbers are ok. As has been mentioned before, NASCAR just dies when the fall hits and football takes over.

Holy crap, that is a serious rating. That would be just below 100 million on a USA scale if my quick math is correct. Thanks for the info, I do find info from other countries interesting.

With baseball and all of the November sweeps stunts coming into play, FOX should hang on to third. I don't know if that speaks more to the strength of FOX's schedule or the fact that NBC has taken a huge fall.

Below is what Shari Anne Brill, senior vice president and director of programming at Carat predicted for the quarter. So far, things look like it will end this way

But Criminal Intent had great results for USA Network in its premiere: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/tel...1a29ac57fa55ca?imw=Y

I would hardly call those great numbers

I would've expected maybe even more. It's in the Super Bowl territory.

I think that FOX will still end up 4th for the week after the Sunday night NBC football game gets factored in. NBC's problem is that they are all but dead when football ends while FOX will see a slight Wink increase in numbers when Idol comes back on the air. NBC is headed for a lock on 4th place for the 2007-2008 TV season.

Thanks vlis, ABC will win this week again. I have thought for two weeks that CBS would hold off NBC for second. This might be the week when I am finally right. CBS has what should be a monster game at 4:15 (Belicheat's Pats vs Cowboys)while I'd call the Sunday Night game on NBC (Saints vs Giants) average, even if it is a NY franchise.
Plus TBS may draw viewers away from the NBC Game with Game #3 of the NLCS tonight
