Now, a new Daily Game for the upcoming May 2008 Sweeps!
Just guess one or more of your selected program's final 18-49 demographic before each night at 7:00 PM Eastern time. Of course, for the next 2 nights, you can make your rosters for Thursday, April 24 (yes, I have accounted for the Scrubs/30 Rock switch!)

Do you have a link for that? I did a quick search of their website and got: CW Unleashes Wrecking Ball : which is an article from a month ago stating that the project is moving forward.
What? Apparently you haven't heard of a little series called Law and Order? There is also two sister shows you might want to check out. Heroes? Even to an extent Medium and Celebrity Apprentice. NBC is fine. Next year, My Own Worst Enemy should bring in ratings and I'm excited that Blue Blood is already getting compared to The Shield and NYPD Blue. They have some stuff to work with.

And its ratings r going down.
One DOND is gone unless NBC comes up with a Ratings Blockbuster, Nbc is done for.

I'm glad to see A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila entering low on the ratings chart. That show is a waste of airtime and I couldn't understand why people liked it the first time around. Good to know it was a flash in the pan.

Yes, it did. But it was also the second part of a two-part ep that began the night before, rather than a stand-alone. That would be the true test of CSI:M's ability to draw eyeballs to the TP.

Wow! With last season's finale over 6 million I'd say that the MTV people are choking and gasping over this. Maybe the viewers really did think the show was about 'finding love' and those viewers won't be tricked by a second season? I also saw where VH1 is doing a show with some of the cast from all their different train wreck 'finding love' shows (Flavor Flav, Bret Michaels, New York, etc...) are going to play some sort of 'all-star' game where they try for money instead of love. I guess VH1 is done trying to play pretend that these shows are about dating?
You are right, there is no date stamp. However, Hollywood Reporter is claiming to have the most up to date info, so I am trusting that it is correct this time. If not, I'm sure Wrecking Ball's status will change again within the next week or so.
Reaper was really hurt in the final numbers (probably because of the sports preemptions). The show better hope for a better ratings number next week. It is a fun watch. The 'girl' is getting hotter all the time and the 'bad guy' is getting badder all the time.

My guess is the arrogance of Les Moonvest had some to do with this too.
I thought I read that Moonves and Woods were actually good friends. More specific to the question at hand, wasn't Woods wanting the shooting schedule to be more convenient with his schedule what caused the problems last year?
I guess the ultimate question will be whether Moonves gets thrown out before Woods does. Sounds like Les may be in some trouble.
I, for one, am rooting for Phillipe Dauman to put an end to Les' personal Reign of Terror over at CBS. And not a moment too soon.

I agree that viewers are getting tired of all these celebrity dating shows that in the end never really find a match. The competition game might do well for VH1. Road Rules/Real World Challenge still brings in decent numbers for MTV.

Both articles are from The Hollywood Reporter. The dated one states that Wrecking Ball was greenlit on March 18, 2008. The other article that lists pilot status has no date at all for a reference. So, sure, The Hollywood Reporter most definitely has 'up to date information', but you can't tell which article is more up to date.

Reaper has hit three million viewers 2 times (Episode 1 and 4) while Gossip Girl has hit three million viewers 1 time (Episode 1)
Reaper's lowest viewership was 2.26 million viewers (Episode 9), Gossip Girl's was 1.80 (Episode 11; excluding the special)
Average Viewers: Reaper - 2.73 Gossip Girl - 2.61
Once again, Dawn Ostroff and the CW suits don't care about total viewership numbers. They care only about the 18-34 demo and the teen demo. Check out the final ratings that Travis Yanan posts for new eps. He regularly includes the 18-34 demo for CW shows. Gossip Girl consistently outscores Reaper in those demos by over a full point. When it aired new eps on Thursdays, Reaper scored from 0.8 to 1.0 in the 18-34 demo. That's typical for Reaper. Gossip Girl's latest new episode scored a 2.1 in the 18-34 demo; that's also very consistent with its season average. That's why Gossip Girl was renewed for a full season ASAP. As far as Dawn is concerned, Gossip Girl's ratings are much higher than Reaper's. They're much higher than Supernatural's ratings, and they even inch out Smallville's. The 18-34 demo is all that matters to Dawn and to the CW. It's why Gossip Girl is her precious baby.
From the advertisers' perspective--and the ones who actually pay for what goes out over the airwaves--total viewers mean nothing. Absolutely nothing. Dawn is right. She's programming to A18-34s and F12-17. Sure, it would be nice to have more total viewers, because that means that there would be more of the target audience, assuming the conversion factors held steady. But The CW programs for their advertiser base because they're the ones who pay the bills.
I understand that this is not a popular opinion on this forum, but it is what it is.
