NBC decided to air these episodes out of order.

The other thing that is puzzling me is that why they edited the episode with a clean cut, I though DOND & 1 vs. 100 always attract viewers to come back for the next episode with a hinge by stopping a contestant at the end of the show and invite them back next time, at least NBC can get more viewers, puzzling??

My Boys is the perfect fit out of Sex and the City. TBS has a real winner here.

By the way, in case anyone is wondering, The Programming Insider will be back from hiatus on Tuesday, Dec. 26.

However, if you only knew how many people came up to me today and said what a horrible show "Identity" was. And they commented that they did not like Penn's physical appearance or performance AT ALL. To a normal viewer (of which there are many many of), Penn's looks could be a turnoff. Note the word, COULD.

Yeah, pause pause pause everyone couldn't wait to discuss the latest episode pause pause pause of Identity. (Not) As for me, pause pause pause it was great background pause pause pause for while I was cleaning out my basement last night. pause pause pause The show is really pause pause pause slow and another great candidate pause pause pause to record and fast forward 30 of the 40 minutes that it is not on commercial break. pause pause pause I don't mind pause pause pause Penn, I mind the stupid incredibly pause pause pause long waiting periods to find out the answers. They need to go to the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire school of moving from answer to answer without so much damn pause pause pauselagtime. Thanks!

6.2/10 in the Friday Night Lights tp?

That's quite strong, isn't it?

It's better than Friday Night Lights, but I would not refer to it as "quite strong." First in the hour was a repeat of NCIS at a 7.5/12.

And with a good chance of leading in A 18-49?
That's not "quite strong" for a new NBC show this season?

Identity did a 2.9/ 8 among adults 18-49, barely beating a repeat of Charlie Brown on ABC. Monday it debuted with a 4.4/11 in the demo. Sorry, but that's not good.

I don't think the numbers are that bad, but i would be concerned with the erosion from Monday's show. I think tonight's numbers will be a better indicator for this show's future.

The erosion from Monday's telecast was a considerable 4.04 million viewers and 34 percent among adults 18-49. Is that a winner? I realize it aired out of Deal or No Deal on Monday, but I am willing to bet there will be more losses tonight.

Isn't that about the same as the 18-49 rating about what 1 vs 100 gets? And lets not forget, on Monday Identity had the luxury of a DOND lead-in. It was on its own on Tuesday. So I dont think this is terrible. Whether it keeps declining is the questions. I expect it will.

This is not to suggest for one second that I am a fan of this show. It really is terrible. The concept is old within ten minutes. However, I can certainly see why NBC took a shot with it. I mean exactly one year ago, it debuted a week-long skein of a show where people simply and mindlessly selected random suitcases. (Had this site existed then I can imagine what the comments would have been about the concept and the host. Not too positive is my guess. Until the ratingss came in and the band wagon jumping geniuses around climbed aboard. But I digress.)
And they did it with an unconventional host. I can't explain the success of that either.

So, it was plausible that this may have hit too. You never go broke underestimating the taste of the audience.

I agree, Marc. And what must also be considered is repeat competition from every other network. Personally, I don't have a gripe with the host as much as the game.
