For Lost's sake, it had better not be too close. For NA's sake, it had better not be too far. And for all our sakes, it had better not be a tie, because I think the forum might melt from all the posting.

If DFTL can beat LOST, it should be easy for New Amsterdam. Wink

Considering they have similar viewers, and LOST fans are a lot more invested in their show than NA fans are (thus far), I would expect LOST to win out. But I didn't expect DFTL to beat it last week, so there really is no telling: with AI as a lead-in, NA may well pull the upset...

Actually, at this point I'm not sure what result would be the upset.

What was the half-hour loss for NA on Tuesday? That may indicate how many will return to it tonight...

CBS: BB9 will see better numbers with Idol out of the way. Vote for Alex!!!

ABC: It'll be interesting to see how Supernanny does compared to Wife Swap when Idol moves to 9.

NBC: Well, Millionaire is still holding up in syndication. DOND's future?

CW: Even ANTM is down. Not good.

Yes, I hate the electronic scroll and the process of a dozen different voices all trying to read it in unison. bad night for ANTM in the ratings. The makeover episode was the one, IMO, that would determine if ratings had really dropped this cycle or if it was just an AI effect. Even with AI still on, the ratings would have gone up last night if this cycle was going to return to 'normal' ratings. It looks like Tyra's 'funny business' with last Cycle's winner has permanently hurt the ratings.

maybe this (overexposure)is why abc does not bring Millionaire back into primetime. Disney owns the show and it probably brings in big dollars in syndication. why jeopardize it?

AI seems to do as well on its girls' nights as it does on the guys', which is a pity, because the guys are way better this season.

I don't know if NA will beat Lost, mainly because Don't Forget the Lyrics is much more accessible than a scripted drama and its subject matter is so much closer to Idol's than NA's, but Idol has always been a very potent lead-in. I can almost guarantee that tonight's matchup is gonna be a close one. Gotta keep my fingers crossed Smiler

I think it will be a toss up tonight. I think NA might win with viewers but LOST will win with the demo.

BTW, why do they keep crediting Harold Perrineau, if he's coming back this season, it's sure taking a long time. Something tells me he's the spy Ben has been referring too. Show him already...

BTW, Travis, thanks for the ratings. Hopefully Marc's leave is not the result of bad tidings.

what was the issue with that again? Tyra knew her before the casting? I can't remember exactly.

Just my POV but I'm kinda over ANTM. Maybe if it was only once a year it wouldn't seem to be too much. Also, unlike AI where we see where their career goes once they get the ANTM crown don't really hear anything from them except for the one who married the brady and now has her own show....

I'm SO HAPPY with BB now. I'm hoping Alex comes back. The question is how evil will america be will they vote amanda back in just for drama purposes????

No. The DFtL crowd doesn't like any 'deep thought'. Most likely, they will return to watching CSI. Wink

They're also crediting Dominic Monaghan and "Charlie" has only been seen briefly in the premiere. I assume both, as well as Walt, will be seen in subsequent episodes.
