Access Hollywood's Tony Potts? Sure sounds like the same special that MyNetwork is running.

I am late to the party, but, great post, Stephen. I am tired of complainers who are tired of complainers.

I don't know about billboards either, but I know that The CW is going out of their way to make sure the college crowds know the show's coming back on. I go to one of three largest universities in my state, and less than a week before the premiere there were suddenly ANTM stickers and fliers all over the place, in the right locations (parking deck doors, student center, etc.) so that everyone who comes onto campus would ahve seen them. I'd assume they hit a lot of large universities and colleges around the country like this ... so quite a lot of people (not to mention quite a lot of people in the target demographic) knew the show was coming back.

I wonder if that style of advertising is done, in part, to try and recruit more contestants? ANTM would love it if people lined up by the thousands to 'audition' rather than by the hundreds. Getting people in a frenzy about the opportunity to even apply for the show would definitely boost ratings season to season and college campuses are the perfect place to recruit. Lots of 'pretty' and hopefully a bit smarter than some of what they end up recruiting now. After all, last night's show did 'hint' that the 'dumb as a post' types need not apply because they will not advance far enough to win.

After next week, 5th Grader will move up and hour and compete with those shows mentioned.
Yeah. Smackdown has done really well here lately(why, I don't know), but ANTM is still the #1 highest rated series for the season on the CW.
The reason is that the WWE is building momentum towards WrestleMania 23. I would expect ratings to continue to build, or at least stay steady, through the beginning of April. Usually the post-WrestleMania show gets high ratings and then it will settle back down.

I was just in New York City on Saturday and there's a huge billboard for ANTM in Times Square. That's the only CW show I saw them advertise for in the city.

I expect lost to beat heroes in the 18-49 demo next week or atleast do a 6.2
how many viewers do Lost and CSI: NY really share that having CSI: NY in repeats will boost Lost so significantly?
CSI:NY does not seem to have a very loyal audience its numbers seem to fluctuate quite a lot from week to week, I've tried watching and its really dull, maybe there are a lot of people out there who just watch it as a matter of routine so when it takes a break for a while, these people with nothing else to watch could turn on to Lost and make it a part of their routine. And I don't think medium can absorb csi's viewers so lost is the only alternative.

Currently, anyway. A while back I swear a good 40% of all buses had ads on the side for the CW, I once saw three of them right behind of each other, AM New York had CW ads on the back of there newspaper for a while. From July-November the CW was well promoted in New York City.

I'm watching 'Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader' and it's actually kind of fun and entertaining. Jeff Foxworthy isn't doing his usual shtick so he's not bothering me as much as I thought he would.
