Might America's Next Top Model also have been helped by the addition of college viewers? The 18-34 exodus to Idol might have been worse without the addition of college viewers.
Coming in second to Idol is something that a show should get credit for. Jericho creatively is at its best. The addition of the new characters will only help it.

Actually I think that Title belongs to NBC DOND 1 v 100 Identity Americas Got (no) Talent (Summer) The Donald Grease The Biggest Loser And a few more
FOX only has AI COPs and AMW (which were on the air before Reality TV was called Reality TV) So you think you can dance (Summer) and the upcoming S. Speilburg Movie competition (Summer)

FOX Triumphs in the A18-49 Demo for the February Sweeps
As predicted, FOX has emerged as the A18-49 demo champ for the February Sweeps. After 28 days in A18-49 measures, the rankings are:
1. FOX 5.2 (+2% vs 5.1 in 2006) 2. CBS 4.9 (+41% vs 3.5 in 2006) 3. ABC 3.8 (-28% vs 5.3 in 2006) 4. NBC 2.9 (-42% vs 4.9 in 2006) 5. The CW 1.3 (-11% vs 1.4 WB in 2006, +18% vs 1.1 UPN in 2006)
In the end, those American Idol hours helped FOX to triumph in households over the February Sweeps as well, My Excel table had some columns misaligned. I have corrected, and CBS did indeed triumph in households (apologies to Tiffany network). The corrected households with the ranking as follows:
1. CBS 9.3 (+28% vs 7.3 in 2006) 2. FOX 7.5 (+4% over 7.2 in 2006) 3. ABC 6.6 (-23% vs 8.6 in 2006) 4. NBC 5.5 (-43% vs 9.6 in 2006) 5. The CW 2.1 (-5% vs 2.2 WB in 2006, +17% vs 1.8 UPN in 2006)
After 28 days of the February Sweeps, the best affiliate lead-ins at 10:30/9:30 pm on the Adults 18-49 demographic are:

I think they need to move Medium back to Monday's ASAP. I read in TV Guide that NBC is considering cancelling Medium and CBS is interested to pick it up. Do you think CBS would put that Fridays at 9:00 p.m. in place of Close to Home if this piece is in fact true?
I am sure I am in the minority on this, but I thought Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? was entertaining. Even though they got through "only" 5 questions, it is only a 1/2 hour show. I would be shocked if 1 vs. 100 got through 10 questions in the full hour. It is on par with other trivia shows in terms of pacing.
Criminal Minds is jumping around in the ratings. On 2/14, 15.4 million viewers tuned in, then last week it dropped to 14.44 million. Now it is back up slightly to 14.85. I wonder where it is going to finally settle in? I wonder whether the Super Bowl had any positive impact for it?
I enjoyed Lost very much last night. It was good to see the group together again,in fact I have enjoyed every episode of Lost thus far. I know that many have not cared for this season and probably last as well, but you know what I dont care!! Every thurs. morning I come onto this site to see how my show did and to see what people liked about the ep. the night before and its the same every week. I dont know about you, but I am getting tired of hearing from these so called Lost "fans" and bashers that dont have anything worthwhile to say, except to bitch and complain. How about doing a favor to the rest of the people who actually enjoy Lost and not watch it, change the channel. I know many people have already done this, I say good for you, more for us to love.
I think Medium on CBS could be very interesting. It would flow very well with Ghost Whisperer. As for Close to Home, I know the show skews old, but perhaps a timeslot earlier in the week and a refreshing of the cast would help make it skew younger.

I noticed the same bouncing with Shark. It would go from 14 million to 9.5 million back up to 13 million.
I wondered how often Nielsen families were rotated. Is fluctuations like this due to survey rotations?

CBS, which benefited from airing the Super Bowl during the sweep, will finish on top in adults 25-54 in February for the first time since 1998. Eye will also prevail in total viewers -- its 12th such victory in the last 14 major sweep periods.
If Fox defeats CBS, it will be only the second time in recent years that the network that aired the Super Bowl has not won sweeps. The last time was in 2002, when NBC won with the Olympics.
