Greek has alomost tripled its ABC Family airing. And it got a second place in demo numbers. I wonder if ABC will air some more episodes. I wouldn't do it but who knows, they did it with Kyle XY (although the mumbers were much higher)
FOX made a mess by cancelling Justice and by airing Standoff in mid-summer. But i guess when u have AI u can afford pretty much anything

Smackdown 2nd in viewers and 1st in demo. I believe this is the first ever "winning streak" for The CW.

FOX made a mess by not ordering any good dramas last season. I'm not seeing any sign of them doing better this season.

Why would they have wanted to go on airing Standoff during the regular season, when so few people wanted to watch it? Honestly, it's not an awful show, I actually watch it sometimes--but I'm not going to miss it at all. One more ep, and bu-bye.

At the begining of the season Vanished, Justice and Standoff all had pretty decent numbers for a FOX show. But after the baseball play-offs FOX changed the days and times they aired the shows, and all plummeted. That's why i say FOX messed up

L&O CI (r) ends the hour at 1.6 18-49,
showing significant growth out of
VEGAS; wins the hour in TA; and comes
close in the demo to what appears to
have been an orig of 20/20.

Destination? Cable.

I was catching up on NUMB3RS, which
aired what I considered an episode
awfully good for a series that was
sinking to around 10mm. Ep featured
excellent guest star appearance.
I see that grew in the hour as well.

I find it interesting that, between half-hours, Jericho dropped in its 8PM episode, but increased in its 9PM episode.

CBS did horrible with Jericho. But look at 1 vs 100, it's a fabulous game show.

I agree, pisher. I think the only new drama on Fox that stands a chance -- and it's still a long-shot -- is K-Ville.

Have you watch anymore pilots? I think Back to You has a chance and The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Consensus at The Press Tour is that The Sarah Connor Chronicles is the worst new show. I was bored to death. I liked Back to You, but it belongs on CBS. I'll keep you posted on the network portion of the tour, which begins on Tuesday.

Thing is, they should have launched justice behind house since they were the most compatible in terms of standout characters and sleek production values. but they screwed it up and placed standoff behind house. and then they messed up even further by moving justice to another incompatible show, prison break.

personally, i felt justice had the most potential last season. and as much as i liked bones, it's not really a very strong lead-in.

bottom line remains that fox sld have start of the gates with these combos:

prison break - vanished
house - justice
bones - standoff

and really, vanished was a mess wasn't it?

This is surprising Marc. I've read elsewhere that its very good, but perhaps its just not your cup of tea. I'm glad you liked Back to You though. Have you seen Big Bang Theory? I really enjoyed that pilot.

Oy, K-Ville... I can't believe anyone is going to tune into it. Not because it's not good... it's got good production values and acting and music... really, the right mix of everything. Except tone. It's an overly depressing cop procedural in post-Katrina New Orleans. Who's going to want to watch that every week!?

I've heard that Sarah Connor, after the pilot, is going to shy away from high-budget special effects and chase sequences and try to be BSG-ish (i.e. sci-fi laced social and political commentary). In which case I'd definitely watch it. But who knows if my sources are right on this one, since it hasn't started shooting (I guess they've seen the post-pilot script).
