Such a disappointing rating for the finale of Men in Trees, a series low for a fresh episode I believe. And it was such a heartwarming finale that provided closure and hope, but resisted tieing everything up with a big happy bow because that is not life.
And because they were still hoping for more eps when they wrote it.

I doff my hat to Emily Bergl's Annie, for escaping the clammy embrace of Patrick--forever--if the show had continued, they would have spoiled that. But now they can't.
I checked out FEAR ITSELF last nite. This kind of minor league entertainment is the best evidence that NBC realizes it no longer has a reputation to even bother protecting.
