Did anyone here actually WATCH Celberity Circus? How bad was it?
I didn't watch Celebrity Circus, but I can't imagine that it was any worse than Fear itself. When NBC's only scripted summer offering is that bad, they might as well stick with gimmick reality programming. With NBC's normal programming trends, by summer's end, they could be up to 4 or 5 hours of shows about 'celebrity' each week.
Swingtown, going by the pilot, is little more than a fourth-rate attempt to cross Boogie Nights with Freaks and Geeks. I just don't see it catching on. Or even holding steady.

There is only one bright spot. SWINGTOWN. I'm hoping that tonight there will not be a huge drop off from the premier. It was very well done and actually entertaining. It would have been even better on FX where they could have been bolder.
Alot of shows would be more fun on FX
Seriously, S-TOWN would have to take a quantum leap not just in content but in tone and style to be FX material. Top FX shows throw out the old playbook alltogether. This show, while having a different feel to it, is more of a conventional type of production.
I didn't find it all that well done but I did watch it and am mildly curious where they go from here. For some reason, I think the ratings will hold up ok for this.

The people on "Celebrity Circus" are celebrities? The only one I'm familiar with besides the Knight guy is the no-talented singer/stripper/porn star who hasn't had a hit in seven years.

I have heard of all of them, espeacially Rachel Hunter
But then again, if they were big names, they wouldn't be on this show.

Such a disappointing rating for the finale of Men in Trees, a series low for a fresh episode I believe. And it was such a heartwarming finale that provided closure and hope, but resisted tieing everything up with a big happy bow because that is not life. I doff my hat to the creators and talent that produced this wonderful show.
Interesting to see that MyNetworkTV continued to roll up A18-49 time period victories over The CW. Last night, the combination of Under One Roof / Best of In Living Color averaged 0.8HH/1%, 1.130 million viewers and 0.5 A18-49 vs. America's Next Top Model's 0.9HH/2%, 1.210 million viewers and 0.4 A18-49.
After three nights of Week 38, look at how close the two networks are, and how much younger-skewing are the MyNetworkTV numbers:
5th. The CW 0.93HH, 1.273 million viewers, 0.47 A18-49 (A18-49/HH = 51%) 6th. MyNetworkTV 0.73HH, 1.107 million viewers, 0.43 A18-49 (A18-49/HH = 59%)
In the 12 half-hours of primetime so far this week, MyNetworkTV has taken fifth in A18-49 in 6 half-hours, The CW has taken fifth in A18-49 in 4 half-hours and the two networks have tied for fifth in A18-49 in 2 half-hours.
I'm sorry but what a pathetic debut for Celebrity Circus. Ads were littered all over the radio station I worked for today on our barter spots. Ugh. All that for 60% retention of DOND, which didn't do all that hot either and really needs to take the summer off.
Even more pathetic was Men in Trees, but given ABC's treatment, I'll give that one a pass. It is gone after all.
Respectable numbers for CBS shows (although I would pull TPIR for extra repeats of Christine) and would the CW give Farmer Wants a Wife an encore into a new episode already? Pull Top Model repeats and while they're at it, repeats of B&tG.
