EOnline isn't reporting that they have been officially picked up (that I've seen anyway...), but Kristin's "Upfront Buzz" post says that HIMYM is "expecting a fourth season pick-up" and Moonlight is "likely" to get a second season.

In confirmed CBS new series news, The Hollywood Reporter has this:
quote:

The network on Monday morning ordered the dramas "Eleventh Hour," from Jerry Bruckheimer, the Simon Baker starrer "The Mentalist," and "Mythological Ex" as well as the untitled Ed Yeager comedy starring Jay Mohr. Also picked up for midseason was the John Turteltaub-directed horror-drama "Harper's Island."

"Mythological," starring Elizabeth Reaser as a woman who, after learning from a psychic that she already has dated the man she's supposed to marry, revisits all her past relationships in the hopes of finding him, has been renamed to "the ex-list."

The Unit on Fridays would be a good idea.

Anybody have any news on Reaper? That seems to be the only show in limbo at the CW.

Also from Hollywood Reporter: ABC picked up "Life on Mars" and renewed Boston Legal.

Edit: Oops, it also has Eli Stone getting a second season (13 episode order according to Deadline Hollywood Daily)

The only reason American Das was so low was because of the Family Guy rerun.

October Road is done, according to Nikki Finke. Perhaps there is a god. We got rid of two pests, MiT and OR.

Now we're never going to find out who Sam's dad is.

What THE UNIT has going for it is that gives CBS versatility.

Apart from this friday idea, it could still take the 9pm tuesday slot if none of their new shows fit there. It could replace a new show that might bomb out in that time period. It could fill the slot for the fall in case they later develop a new show that would fit for next spring. Or, if WAT is not moved, it could fill the 10pm tues slot adequately.

If they are short on an idea for 8pm Wed, THE UNIT could go there, even if just for 13 until midseason changes came.

Well, Desperate Housewives is 500k below where they were last year, Grey's Anatomy is around 4M, Idol is around 6M and House is around 4-5M. So I guess it's pretty obvious that ABC IS happy with the show.

The only reason why you will completely ignore the fact that the television numbers as a whole are lower and lower is that you have skipped some statistic interpretation classes. And that's very surprising for someone who keeps questioning the intelligence of others. Razzer

Thank you ABC Roll Eyes. What a huge mistake with WMC.

Wow--next season, I get to watch Pushing Daisies, Sarah Connor Chronicles AND Eli Stone get blown away in the ratings, and ultimately canceled, to the anguished wailings of their kool-aid drinking fans.

You're too good to me, broadcast dinosaurs.

Wow, I expected at least a partial pick-up for WMC. I can't at all see the logic in that cancellation while saving Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money. And I say this as someone who really likes DSM a lot. But I think WMC is the better bet.

God, I hope Variety is right about Moonlight. Although, it sounds like even if it gets a stay of execution, it's gonna be on thin ice next season.
