I wouldn't call it aloser, but I did address this in an earlier post. I wonder if the "Average" viewer (not a PIF member) believes/thinks that all the shows from the fall are now ALL repeats.

Why does ABC treat men in trees so badly?
Yes, ABC did give it the slot after GA, but how many new episodes GA aired prior to new episodes of MIT? MIT will be airing in it's 5th different time period when it returns Feb 27th. It's only aired 26 original episodes during all those time period switches. How does anyone expect this show to do well with that many changes and for a freshman show? A more seasoned show may be able to handle these changes. In fact, if you count the special preview of the pilot episode, MIT has aired in six different time slots and four different nights. What other shows have been flipped around so much and still succeeded after each change.
If ABC would stop playing hot potato with the show, it might actually succeed.
ANTM clip show did horrible in the ratings. Granted, again CW didn't promote it but you would think the ANTM crowd would stick around and watch it. OTH doesn't repeat well.
Again, Law and Order x 3 rule all. NBC is so lucky to have them on schedule.
Supernanny and Wife Swap are doing very well for ABC in their role as cheap fillers. What is the point of continuing to air Cashmere Mafia? Is ABC trying to see how low it can go in the ratings? There's two episodes left, put those online and do repeats of Lost or two hour Supernanny episodes. It's just getting terrible now. October Road is pulling in higher ratings than Cashmere Mafia.
Lipstick Jungle is going to bomb. It will do just as well as Cashmere Mafia. I expect around 7.5 million to start and it will drop fast. It will be cancelled before May. Before that happens, any chance Tom Cruise will guest star on Brooke Shield's show. I bet that interaction would make for some must see TV.

Even i'm not sure what show has original epiaodes left

ABC should do this: 8:00 Wifeswap 9:00 Supernanny 10:00 Supernanny (R)
A few weeks ago, Supernanny did a 4.0 in the demo.
Some thoughts: 2.5 Men had a pretty good repeat. It appears that the third airing of BBT episodes however is taking its toll. CM repeats pretty well but CSI:NY faltered with its original ep. This show is much more dependent on lead in than we may originally have been led to believe. Idol and MOT continue to dominate but MOT would probably draw less than the average for 5th Grader w/out Idol. NBC did alright considering it had 2 hours of repeats. ABC had improved results for Wife Swap, a decent Supernanny, and another disappointing Cashmere Mafia. Lipstick Jungle will probably fail as well.
The top model clips shows did no better than Crowned. Just as well have saved the new eps from December and done some weeks of doubling up and maybe have aired the Top Model clips specials in December to better utilize the momentum they had from last season.

I did find it interesting that the Tuesday shows don't take as big a hit as the Wednesday shows.... except for yesterday. All of a sudden AI is not down double digits. Kind of odd to have a 10&, or so, turn around in just week and one night.[QUOTE]
I think last year's final Wednesday audition episode was more heavily promoted as a clip show ("Best of the Worst" or something like that). Last night was also just leftover clips from the auditions, but it was promoted more like a regular audition show. So that may be why its numbers weren't down as much as this year's other episodes.

It faces nothing and was down 4 million from is average. If people can rat on Ugly Betty for year to year losses, then this should be too. This show is extremely lead in dependent.

I think Boston Legal may be the last show from the fall, left with any Original Episodes. Not sure about ER since its been off the air for about a month now.

If iot posted these numbers in a normal non-strike year, i would agree 100%

Well with Men in Trees on the way I think they'll just stick it out but I agree that it could've been pulled week 2 or shipped to Fridays to die along with October Road. Supernanny repeats at 8, Supernanny at 9, and Wife Swap at 10. That way nothing original would've faced Idol.

I agree the strike played a role, but even if it weren't a strike year and they did this it would lose at least 2 million from its average. Its just not that strong of a player for them and unless it remains somewhat inexpensive, I'm guessing it doesn't have a whole lot of time left on the air. It like the Unit, Shark, and a few others benefit from CBS screwing up the last 2 falls and not getting anything to perform real great.

ER ran out last month. BL has two eps starting next week left. Pulling it in the fall for specials after Dancing was a good move imo in terms of conserving original programming. Now its really the only thing worth watching on ABC Tuesdays.
