Unfortunately HIMYM, Big bang and 2 1/2 men don't return new until March 17th when DWTS premieres. And yes it will be a challenge returning post daylight savings and with warmer weather right around the corner. Last year March was the month that marked a large dropoff in ratings especially for the 8pm shows. We'll see if that was a DVR anamoly or if its going to happen again this year quote: Originally posted by mushu_jj: The question will be how much of the audience returns. I think CBS, which has basically gone to sleep this strike period relying on CSI repeats and Survivor to carry them may take a while for people to return to their shows. Not to mention, daylight savings time goes into effect. quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: Just wait. Starting Next Week, CBS finally starts getting its engine going after a 3 month layoff. Monday Night Comedies, March Madness and Most Series premiere before any of the other Networks get their frist new episodes up and running. quote: Originally posted by WOODY: Another win for ABC. I think ABC is gonna be a solid second this season, behind FOX.

Oh, you're talking about that percentage thing that NO ONE cares about.
Even in raw numbers PB did better in demos. Most of the new episodes got 3.2-3.3 in demos. Just on episode fell below 3 in demos. And yeah that percentage is also showing SCC skewing older. Not that it really makes a difference, but 3.1 is not such a good demo like some were saying.

Because PB has been going nowhere creatively for 1.5 season, and its ratings have fallen every year. But you are right, FOX could probably renew it one more year, SCC just has (a bit) more potential.

"American Idol" contestant David Hernandez once entertained audiences by removing his clothes instead of singing tunes, a manager at a male strip club in Phoenix told The Associated Press.
The 24-year-old finalist from Glendale, Ariz., once worked as a stripper at Dick's Cabaret, appearing fully nude and performing lap dances for the club's "mostly male" clientele, club manager Gordy Bryan said Monday.
"He had the look and the type that people like, so he made pretty good money here," Bryan said.
It's not clear whether a history as a stripper could disqualify Hernandez from the competition. In 2003, finalist Frenchie Davis was dismissed because of her appearance on an adult Web site; but last year, Antonella Barba remained in the competition after racy photos of her surfaced on the Internet.
Fox spokeswoman Jill Hudson did not immediately return telephone calls seeking comment Monday.
According to Bryan, Hernandez steadily worked at the club for three years until September 30, 2007.
"He never renewed his licensing with the state, so he hasn't been on my roster since then," Bryan said.
Bryan said he was aware that Hernandez was a vocalist, but that Hernandez never sang at the club. Bryan said he now believes Hernandez stopped working at the club because of his participation in "American Idol." Hernandez has never been referred to as a stripper or former stripper during the Fox singing competition.
Rumors of a stripper past — along with photos of a scantily clad Hernandez working as a bartender at gay nightclub Burn — were first posted last week on VoteForTheWorst.com, a site that encourages "Idol" viewers to vote for "the bad and truly entertaining contestants."
"It was like moths to a flame," said VoteForTheWorst.com founder Dave Della Terza. "As soon as I posted that, we started getting 10, 20 letters every single day from people saying, 'Yeah, he's a stripper in Phoenix.'"
Terza and other members of VoteForTheWorst.com community scoured MySpace, Photobucket and other social networking and photo sharing sites to find information and images of Hernandez. Terza said he contacted the club to confirm the Internet chatter, but they never got back to him.
"They said they couldn't give me a statement before talking to their lawyers," said Terza.
Hernandez, who originally auditioned for "Idol" in San Diego on July 30, 2007, is in the Fox singing competition's top 16 contestants. Last week, he earned rave reviews from the judges after his performance of The Temptations' "Papa Was a Rolling Stone." He is scheduled to perform with the other male contestants on Tuesday's show.

I agree it didn't live up to expectations, but it didn't die either. I think its right there in the middle and could have a second life. quote: Originally posted by Holly: quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: quote: Over at Fox, the two-hour season-finale of Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles scored a respectable 7.98 million viewers (#4) and a 3.1/ 8 among adults 18-49 #2) from 8-10 p.m. While Sarah Connor is no 24, it is still worthy of a second season.
Those are respectable numbers and T:SCC could get a 13 episode order for next fall. It would do no worse than the usual crap Fox attempts each fall.
TSCC didn't perform anywhere near where Fox was hoping, but depending on their development slate, it could still be worth the renewal. I know they have "The Fringe," anybody know what else they are planning? Edit: They also have Joss Whedon's The Dollhouse

Confirmed: Fringe Dollhouse Some procedural called The FBI Some drama about several families living in the same building during different time periods supposedly linked in a supernatural way Some drama about powerful business women (along the lines of Devil Meets Prada from the description) There could be more because some places are still reporting that the Prison Break with women spin off is still an option. Maybe that is one of a several they are considering.

Is this a joke? SCC is a disaster compared to PB from the ratings point of view. SCC has so much potential that it has lost almost half of the audince in 6 weeks

Exactly. FALL 088pm - Prison Brake 9pm - Terminator: SCC Jan & Feb 098pm - Terminator: SCC 9pm - 24 SPRING 098pm - Prison Brake 9pm - 24 quote: Originally posted by A.C.: quote: Originally posted by Zitrone: Hey Marc, do you have the half-hour breakdown for SCC?
The show is definitely in danger, but deserves another season much more than PB; more growth potential and getting better, unlike PB.
Why can't we have both. PRISON BREAK for the fall..TERMINATOR for the winter and PRISON BREAK reclaiming the slot come spring?

Yeah, FOX looks very good for next fall. At least some of those new series have decent chances of performing very well.

Hopefully the performance of Pussycat Dolls, Crowned, and B&tG will all help convince CW that a real network needs to concentrate on real programming rather than just Reality junk.
Terminator didn't blow anyone away with its ratings, but I agree that is should come back in the fall. It isn't a show that requires watching every episode from the start, so it still has plenty of potential for growth...much more than Prison break despite robert's campaign here to say otherwise.
Looking forwatrd to a return to fresh comedy on CBS Monday (still missing the fresh comedy of CW on Monday) and looking forward to new Amsterdam Mondays as well.

Fringe and Dollhouse are shoe-ins. Fringe because of the amount of money they have shelled out for it. Dollhouse because they have already given it a 7 episode committment. Not to mention the big names associated with it.
Those will definitely end up on the schedule.

People also keep forgetting that 24 has been dropping year to year. Last season it was doing 10 million range... There's no reason to believe it may have dipped further had it returned this season.
FOX bombs hard with drama shows every fall, and I think SCC will get a renewal because of that. It hasn't launched a lasting hit since Prison Break and Bones in terms of dramas (correct me if I'm wrong) and even that is on its last legs (1-2 seasons left at best).
SCC should be renewed only because FOX needs a self-starter on their schedule next fall... and based on current rumors the show isn't nearly as expensive as people claim.
Rumors were that FOX would pick either SCC or PB to survive next fall... my guess is that if the female Prison Break spin-off happens PB will get the ax... but both do deserve 2nd seasons at their current levels. If FOX cancels either I won't be surprised at their decision because they make bad ones often, but from a ratings POV both deserve at least a shot on the fall schedule.

I gotta say that these two shows are making me very excited about FOX's upcoming season. Right now, there's little I actually watch regularly on FOX, but those two shows both sound great!

Keep in mind FOX is notorious for doing year round scheduling. I wouldn't be surprised to see DOLLHOUSE held to midseason or even spring... considering Joss Whedon hasn't even fully written the pilot (or so I read). It might be difficult to get it ready to air by the fall. Joss and Tim Minear haven't proven they can create a stable hit outside of the niche programming on the WB, and FOX might get cold feet and push off the debut a la the Tim Minear shows DRIVE/WONDERFALLS/The INSIDE,
