If you are going to mention the high ratings, at least mention why. Hint: it wasn't Tina Fey or Carrie Underwood. It was that guy that cooks squirrel's in his popcorn popper.

Do a Yahoo search: +squirrel +"Popcorn popper"

I'd give you a YouTube link, but the Pakistani's must have brought down the website again.

Looks like viewers are primed and ready to have their favorites, or any show, back with NEW episodes.

With CBS' Mondaynight Comedies the first back with Primetime Episodes, it will be interesting to see what kind of response HIMYM, BBT and 2.5 Men Get.

Can HIMYM and/or BBT reach or top 10 million viewers?

Can 2.5 Men surpass 15 million right off the bat?

In 15 days, we shall find out. (Will St. Patricks Day be an issue then?)

The Fontna "slip and slide" is on again at 1:00 EST. What a mess this turned out to be for FOX. I bet their primetime was terrible. Of course it was gong to be anyways against Oscars.

If that holds true, thats a big drop from last year.

I would suspect that interest was low because of the movies nominated in the major categories. Nothing "Exciting" to root for/against.

Glad the NASCAR Race lasted until 9:30pm last night. Smiler

Well, if you enjoy local programming disguising itself as NASCAR, the yes... it did.

To bad the rest of the race is starting at 1 pm ET instead of getting some of it in primetime tonight.

I wouldn't mind if the race bumped Moment of Truth out of the lineup, but Terminator:SCC is a good show and I'd rather not see it delayed by racing.

According to DW last night a few of these teams have to get back to the East coast to drop off their Fontana Car and pick up one for Las Vegas - hard to believe they don't all have multiple carriers, or that they still have time to accomplish this. How long does it take to drive coast-to-coast if you never stop?

Imagine what Jr. is thinking. He had to wait around most of the night last night and then all this morning just so he can drive around the track 40 laps down. If I were he, I think I would have a look-alike for moments like this.

I would suspect that teams may have Driver teams for their carrier trucks this week. Going Non Stop, 24 hours, at 60 MHP, thats about 1400 miles per day. So, about two days there and two days back?

Multiple car teams Could have one carrier leave last night to pick up primare cars, then a second truck today take the current cars and then picks up the back up cars. But this is guessing though.

Multi-Car operations should be able to load up the primary cars from the East Coast shops while the cars from Fontana go directly to Las Vegas to serve as the backups. I would think that some of those smaller teams would have the Fontana backup car in the trailer already set up as their primary car for Las Vegas. Why not...some of the smaller teams were using short track 'car of tommorow' cars in Daytona.

Marc,
I've asked this before but never really got an answer. Given that Nielsen is a sister co. to Mediaweek, any insight as to what creates the ratings delays? Given all the delays, what does this say about the accuracy of the data?

From my perspective, the viewers were either counted (or not) when the shows were airing. When they have delays, what are they doing: guessing?
