Tuesday night has a lot of network programming mistakes in it. KN should have aired in the summer. If not, it belonged on some cable network like the Discover Channel or the History Channel. BW should have been on SciFi with a SciFi channel budget. Why NBC-U thought it was more suited to a network airing than BSG is beyond me. And, DSM needed a more compatible lead-in, like DH on Sunday night or Mondays at 10 instead of the Bachelor. And, PD? It is modest show at best that, if it cannot be profitable with the ratings it gets, will fail. More Showtime fair, in my opinion, though it is one of many shows this fall that might have looked good/original as a pilot but was obviously unsustainable (Groundhog Day-problem) as a series such as Reaper, Chuck, and Journeyman (not that Journeyman pilot was that good).
No one on here seems to talk about Kitchen Nightmares much but I'm glad it's doing well and will have a second season. Does anyone else watch this show?

Me.
Wed at 9 are tough for me. I TiVO Gossip Girl in my room, record with a VCR Private Practice in the den, and watch KN with my mom in her bedroom.
The kids at TWOP are really piling onto Marc right now, in both the PD and Reaper forums. And of course, in each one there's a VM fan going "yeah he's real mean!!"
I like PD (or at least I think I do - I often feel smothered by the whimsy), but it's clearly not a mass-market show and shouldn't be on Wednesday nights if it gets a season 2.

Stick a fork in DSM, its done. Once finals are released, it should be under 8 million viewers for the night, a season/series low.
This is a silly comment.. DSM #s are solid week after week and crushing the other frosh drama in the timeslot..I hate to break it to you but we are budgeting back 9 and the network chose to complete a season despite having no writers. The Increase in CM is what got CBS the win not a drop off in DSM. going from 8.2 to 7.9 or 8.1 to 7.7 wont kill the show I agree the 2.9 in the demo is discouraging but she will finish strong and the drop off is moot , it is insignificant as ad rates are already established for the timeslot and the show will continue.
Lets see how ABC spins this , Steve was just here with a big SMILE so I think your burial pre-mature

They're getting a second season regardless. It grew in viewers from it's last showing! Yep, it's going to be around for you and pisher to mock for quite some time.

I knew this would happen. I SAID this would happen. I didn't even need to look.

It shouldn't have gotten a season 1.
And it's increasingly looking like we'll never even see a full first season.

Unfortunately, because I adore the show, I must agree with this. No way ABC will keep the show if it dips below 8 million and doesn't even reach a 3.0 in the demo. They might switch at some point, and see how it does, but I am pretty much watching now waiting for the axe to fall.
Nope. No way ABC will keep it, especially since they've kept Cavemen, Carpoolers, and Big Shots on the air this long.

It is only crazy if you but intothe perception so many have about CBS. Remember, CBS held the demo lead through much of last year and ended up second ahead of ABC and NBC. Yes, they are a bit off this year, but the bottom hasn't exactly fallen out.
So many here, and elswhere, seem to only look at how "old skewing CBS is." However, skewing old or young doesn't dictate the total number of demo viewers you have. There are a number of CBS's shows, like the two from last night, that skew older but still post good demo numbers.
