It will not be easy. If they send in the 6 episodes that have currently aired, and 30 Rock and The Office send in 6, PD is in third. Yes, it is funny, and wonderfully filmed, but...it is not laugh-out-loud comedy like the other two. In fact, Ugly Betty is funnier, and ABC would be smart to push that more in comedy than PD. I do enjoy PD, but the label best comedy leaves something to be desired.

Thats not true, If you have read some of what the critics said about PD, they said that PD is very funny, but it isnt the apparent funny that DH and the office has(both shows are amazing btw), its more funny in the dialogue, and that is true, the thing about PD is that the humor is very fastpaced that a normal person might not have enough time to register all of the jokes, but if you watch the episode a 2nd or 3rd time, you discover new things you didnt notice the 1st time you watched the show

Oh, now i get it. You need to be a superhuman to understand the show. Well i'll try some kryptonite before watching the next episode. Or some spinach. That might work too

Thanks.

So that'll be about 10pm where I am. I thought they were usually out quicker than this for some reason.

Anyway, will be nice to see if PD can manage to scrape in with 9.0 mil.

Click on the poster's name and choose 'add...to ignore list'

I just when a head and used this for the first time and half the crap is now gone from the forum. This is GREAT!!!!! Smiler

Well, if you are ignoring them, who cares? That is what the feature is for. instead of post after post of crap, just ignore that one member and poof, no more posts. All you see is a small area saying "Ignored post by _____ posted 15 November 2007 02:21 PM". If you really want, you can always click the "Show Post" on the right side of the hidden post.

What some PD fans were saying here, back on 10/25 was that PD lost most of its Male 18-49 audience to the World Series, and that once that was over, the 18-49 rating would bounce back up to the high 3 point somethings, at least.

Wow...I wouldn't think many M18-49 would watch "Pushing Daisies" in the first place. OK, thanks for the clarification.

Oh PLEASE don't throw me in that briar patch!

Who ignores those having other opinions might have a problem understanding democracy

Next you will be demanding that Marc remove the 'ignore' feature because it is a violation of your First Ammendment rights. Roll Eyes

If PD's pilot wins for directing, it'll be for Sonnenfeld--not the show. Emmy loves to laud movie directors.

It won't win for writing. I'm on the record as saying that.

But guys--the Emmys are a LONG way off. Much too far off to be of any use to PD now. Honestly, the only friend PD has now is the strike.

then I will be on record to say that the show will win best comedy, best writing, best directing and maybe best supporting actor in an emmy

If you read what critics have to say, a lot of them already predict that the emmy for best comedy belongs to beloved Pushing Daisies

No, I don't agree. They understand democracy very well, and understand that they are a tiny despised minority with no chance of imposing its will on the majority, so they just stick their fingers in their ears and hum loudly. And that's their right.

The ones who try to get people who disagree with them banned are the ones who hate democracy.

Oh, you are right. Even if you do add someone to the ignore list, it shows that they made a post, and you can click on it to see it if you so choose. This is a good thing. Perhaps it will stop some of the back and forth that goes from good debate to ridiculous insults and such.

Oh give me a break. I'm still arguing with people who said they were putting me on ignore a month or so ago. Big Grin

Well, then they are obviously choosing to either lie (saying they put you on ignore) or they are clicking "show post", in which case they are only asking for back and forth issues.

Or somebody else is quoting my posts, which people do a lot. Honestly, if you can't stand dissent, find another board. This isn't a fanboard, and it's not a good place for people who can't bear to see 'their' show criticized.

People are dissing my favorite show of the moment right and left here--I don't report them, I don't put them on ignore, and I barely even bother to respond to them most of the time.

And that's because even the shows I like are just not that important to me.

Now anybody wants to say anything about my dog better get ready to die. Mad
