Horrible retention for Castle, but I would imagine these #'s get it a half season renewal for next season. Like Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone. With the same results.

I disagree,

Castle has maintained it numbers for weeks now. Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies kept declining in the ratings each week.

Yikes for DOND! It's ran out of steam completely. Has it ever been this low?

Something lost to Gossip Girl in the demo while in originals.

So did Samantha Who, but look what happened to that!

Castle won't maintain these numbers next season.

Castle went up because its lead-in went up. It has, in fact, declined quite a bit since its premiere. It has not managed to build its core audience, and is gradually losing it.

I agree it will probably be renewed, but it will suffer the same fate as other low-rated ABC midseason dramas that got renewed. It's still a dead show walking. Smiler

I haven't posted here in a long time, but I wanted to thank Marc for getting Monday's ratings up so quick this morning. I didn't think Nielsen would ever release the numbers.

Those are excellent numbers for DWTS (and for a 2-hour show, to boot).

Not many reality shows can boast an increase from last spring's ratings (ahem... American Idol). I'm thinking this and Biggest Loser and that's it. Oh... and The Bachelor, of course.

I think this show is proving the naysayers wrong... its one of the most consistent performers of the last few years.

Deal or No Deal: absence did not make the heart grow fonder. No one thought that the return would be this low.

Wow, those are VERY low numbers for Deal. I was expecting at least 8 million, but 4 million has to be an alltime low for the show. Medium built very nicely, though. Over 8 million for the first time in weeks at 10pm is a great sign. The only bad news - NBC is giving up the 10pm slot next season. What a big mistake. With Deal or no Deal, and with Medium airing 2 hours episodes for 2 more weeks, NBC should try to heavily promote their Mondays, so at least 8-10pm could be brought up.

Granted, it seems like viewes when Medium will be good or not. The 9pm episode was really drawn out. 10pm was a big step up, and the ratings reflect it.

Meanwhile, with a bigger lead-in, Castle was way up. But, we've seen what it does on its own, so these ratings seem fake to me. Without Dancing, the show would be at 7-8 million. Kind of concerning can be How I Met Your Mother - it's dropped from BBT ever since they returned from repeats.
