Pisher I would love her to actually send me their listing (because it does cover the main networks and some of the cable shows). And most shows actually hit the okay with supervision and the unexceptable catagory. Though from what she read, the get small write ups with what is good and bad about them for the ones which recommend supervsion. Like for Supernatural, the use of religion (though they probably don't realize one of the characters is an athiest), the strong family ties. Following a parents guidelines (which again is funny, since dad is saying go kill things, not go to school, ect). That demons are bad. Minus for violence, gore, and some sexual banter. Reaper got an unexceptable, mainly do to its portral of the Devil being funny and cool. And parents selling their kids soul to him. Most of the bad for most of the shows revolve about "family values", having a homosexual portrayed as exceptable is always a bad thing, kids who give their parents attitude. And almost any sexual humor or situation. Violence gets much less notice.

Its nice to see the Yankees lose, again (Sorry Douglas), but I would have rather seen them lose again to the Red Sox. quote: Originally posted by mjblaser: i agree 300, yanks & cowboys draw huge

2.5 Men is still the funniest sitcom on TV.
It is geting a bit tiring, but still funny. The show really does need more of Holland Taylor and Conchata Ferrell.

Think the CW was the first only to be followed shortly by everyone else's decision for their shows? How long before we hear the good/bad news for the other shows. Starting to get a little nervous here...

I'm not as UP on Holland Tayloer as everyone else, but Conchata Ferrell is great. They should have found a way to spin her off into another show

It's an 80's show stuck in the 00's. Oh, and Adam Baldwin is a showkiller. That too. Not quite in Nathan Fillion's league, but he's up there.
Pisher, I was gettin worried. 3 full pages without a shot at Nathan Fillion.

Big Bang isn't going anywhere for the forseeable future. It's doing better than both The Class and Old Christine did in that slot last year. quote: Originally posted by Ilovetv: quote: BBT will be gone. There is no way this show is gonna last. As far as HIMYM I think it will last no longer than next season. Ratings have dropped.
You wouldn't like to bet on that would, you ? These are CBS's two youngest skewing shows, and once DWTS goes on break both will get better ratings.

It's definately starting very soon, if not now. Every network is in the process of spinning. As I said before, FOX even spun K-Ville for the first time since it's premiere today. I do think we will hear more good news instead of bad. I'm expecting the full season renewals of PP, DSM, and BW to come soon. quote: Originally posted by Naleyfanforver: Think the CW was the first only to be followed shortly by everyone else's decision for their shows? Thought-
I agree with Pisher (huh?) about the right wing conspiracy. I have no doubt that the CW would be thrilled if some right wing organization would protest one of their shows. Hell, the CW would be thrilled if Local Meat Packers Union 52, with its 1000 members, would protest any of their shows.
CW - "Please protest us, please!! “ We will be whatever you want us to be, liberals, conservatives, Rotarians ..... just spew some of that anger at us ..."
I thought it last year and I still do: CBS needs to open another hour or two of comedy on Sundays. They keep getting these middling Comedies that don't do great, but tend to look much better after they are cancelled when a new cycle of ratings come out. Sunday at 8:00 is a perfect spot. CBS is going to struggle a bit on Sundays (particularly in the Fall) no matter what. NBC and FOX have cornered the younger male demo, while ABC has the younger “Lifetime” demo. In addition, 60 minutes creates a conundrum since it is still valuable to CBS, but doesn't provide a high demo lead-in.
So, why not take either HIMYM or BBT next year and put it on at 8:00 along with a new sitcom to lead into CC and Shark. It solves the football overrun problem because CBS can go with just one show at 8:30 when they have the 4:15 game. Plus, while not a large niche, maybe there is a small audience on Sundays for a more traditional sitcom. CBS only got a 2.6 this Sunday in the demo. I think they might be able to beat that with comedy. Maybe they could try it out this year with the returning Christine.

Its not a matter of IF, for BBT, but WHEN they get the backorder. As much as I like HIMYM and Rules... BBT is the funniest sitcom on CBS, behind 2.5 Men.

just had a whacky thought. there really is A LOT of talk about this strike. Is it at all possible that the networks keeps all their shows with the thinking that a bad rated show is better than no show at all? Just wondering if the "bad" show's got free pass this season with this treat looming...
"bad" being in the eye of the viewer of course

Yeah, I'm also surprised at this unusual display of perspicuity on your part.
