Definitely. 2.6 in the demo? Sigh. I think BL does better without a good lead-in, if that's even possible.
I think part of the problem for BL was the 1.5 hour premier. I didn't watch it because I was watching House and Tivoing Reaper and it conflicted. Once it returns to 1 hr at 10, I will either watch or Tivo it.
The demo erosion is disturbing, but with BL consistently skewing so high-income, and considering it overlapped with House, it was probably one of the most DVR'ed shows of the evening, so I don't consider their premiere to be too bad. This is not a show ABC is going to yank mid-season. Are you kidding?
House with a really impressive demo start, especially considering it had virtually no competition for its premiere last year.
Cane skewed quite old, and doesn't look as good as it did from the metered markets. Barely built out of the Unit at all, but it least there was a small build.
SVU down less than 10% year-to-year in the demo. Don't think this show is dying.
I disagree that Reaper is better with Missy. Missy may be better looking, but I thought the old girl had much better chemistry with Harrison.

Impressive viewership numbers for The Unit despite the droppage but yikes the demos are going to be the big issue and The Unit needs to better itself. Do I think that's possible ? Yes but not so sure against House and DWTS so maybe the people saying about miving it are right and I was wrong though I do prefer it where it is at now but more than anything else I want The Unit to survive and stick around at least a couple more seasons ..

Maybe drama/comedies are not my thing. I mean it was not bad at all. I found the pilot to be better than Gossip Girl, so I think that is saying something. But I do not know if I will be watching next week.
Still, being aggressive didn't help The CW at all...they might end up much worse than last season with all those old UPN and WB shows.

No? I mean, if BL keeps up with around 10 mil each week and a 2.6-2.8 demo (around there), you really think ABC will keep it on?
I do keep missing the fact that BL did begin in the middle of House, so next week should be telling. BL returns to a normal schedule where it never defeats SVU, but either beats or comes in close with CBS (Smith last season, which was axed).
Marc..do you have the breakdowns for Boston Legal?
Well, BL had a 7.1 at 9:30 and 6.8 for the 10 PM hour. So, once again, it's clear that ABC should give another show the DWTS lead-out, because BL doesn't need a good lead-in. It will always do the same.
Hmm. NCIS gets 13 mil viewers and only scores a 3.1 in the demo. Bones only gets 8 mil and squeaks by NCIS with a 3.2. Pretty good numbers for Bones, and they should go up next week when not facing DWTS.
CBS was low in the demo, only one show breaking 3.0.
And I really like GG and Reaper, the ratings aren’t good, but nothing on the CW is right now.
That's what I said in the Cancellation Contest! But unless it drops like a rock next week, I think its here until at least the November Sweeps.
Thanks for the quick Overnights Marc. When you or Travis post the nationals, can we get a 1/2 hour breakdowns of Cane, the Reaper, and the War? I really think PBS' Ken Burns Doc is sucking some of the audience this week.
