Nice spinning vlis. Roll Eyes

I doubt DH was affected by a regular season NFL game and the NLCS was all but over (after 1st inning) by the time DH came on the air in the Easter & Central Time Zones.

AFHV was probably hurt this week by all the sports programming (football and baseball, especially on the west coast) airing against it.

Yes, it is. CSI will drop this week 5 million and 1.8 in the demo like last season.

I actually like DH this summer. I think Edie's husband is a great addition to the show.

On another note, for what I've seen on its first two episodes, this season sucks.

Don't know about that, but the main characters suck this season. Especially Bree and Gaby

Bree I am waiting to see before making a decision, but in terms of Gaby- she and Longoria Parker have benefited the MOST from the five year jump. Gaby is a changed woman this season, and it is hysterical to see her outside her element. And as a comedic actress, Longoria Parker knocks it out of the park all the time. She has come such a long way since season one.

Lynette is the one suffering the most from the five year jump. Her story is same ol', same ol'.

What's with all the hating on "Brothers & Sisters?" I agree with Marc's assertion that ABC has bigger problems. Sunday remains a bright spot for the network. Sheesh...

If the CW altered it's schedule to resemble MyNetworkTV to be 12 hours Mon-Sat opposed to 13 Sun-Fri, if they could do any better. Sunday nights is really heavy competition from the major networks. Plus, the cable channels like HBO and Showtime are in the mix.

Monday - Gossip Girl & One Tree Hill
Tuesday - 90210 & Privileged
Wednesday - Top Model/Stylista & Everybody Hates Chris + The Game
Tuesday - Smallville/Smallville & Supernatural
Friday - Valentine & Easy Money
Saturday - Top Model/Stylista Encore & 4 Real + In Harms Way

13 could be summer time programming on Wednesdays.

It's because it lost so much of it's lead in and it is possible something else could hold that lead in much better.

Please Marc, put your likeness of the show aside and please admit that Brothers and Sisters is a LOSER. Just look at the retention rates. As you would say, absolutely horrific! Please, just give us honest journalism based on the numbers and not your likeness / dislikeness of a particular show or network.

Good numbers for Desperate Housewives, but Brothers & Sisters lost A LOT of it's lead in. Without the lead in, I bet this show would be doing a lot worse.

B&S relies heavily on a big lead in. I think I remember last year when it aired with Extreme Makeover as it's lead in, it got just 8 mil. I bet if it was a self starter it'd have trouble hitting 7 mil.

If it were not for DH, B&S would have been a goner after a few episodes.

It's not a loser. It still gets good numbers.

When the NFL schedule came out, NBC was surely thinking that last nights game might have been between two unbeaten teams. In anycase, Dick Ebersole certainly didn't expect to be promoting a Rivers vs Cassel quarterback duel. Oh well, the perils of predicting winners and losers among professional sports franchises. This would have never happened with thec NHL. Wink
