A drop of 8% viewers and an increase of 33%demo from last week.

Give In Harms Way and Valentine some time and they can build. I would say Easy Money is a goner. It's pretty sad when the 7pm show has the same demo and nearly the same viewership as a 9pm show.

But you have to remember Fox was up 22% in the 8pm hour with baseball and up 32% in the demo- that has to factor in to the TAR dip, as well as the fact the Fox late NFL game was exciting...

I timeshifted The Amazing Race and zipped through it in under half an hour. Skipping passed the silly wrestling crap really shortened up the episode. The rest of the episode was just as uninspiring, though. The Amazing Race Asia really has me spoiled in terms of what this version SHOULD be like. Meanwhile, I used the hour to watch Valentine live and enjoyed it much more than TAR. The 'God of War' character was very topical to today's politics and made for some funny comments. I think that the Desperate Housewives audience would really like this show.
Excluding season premiere episodes, won't DH be the #1 scripted show in the demo again this week? That's pretty good considering its competition of both football and baseball; don't you think?

CBS can puff its chest this morning as it has won its second consecutive week of the 2008-9 season...wasn't it just a few weeks back they were touted as a third place network?
Based on three nights of preliminary numbers (Friday through Sunday) that do not include MyNetworkTV, here is how Week 3 finished up:
I know Marc loves the show, and I respect his enhusiasm for it, but Brothers and Sisters is a loser this week. There's no way to spin it otherwise. As I said for a while, Brothers and Sisters is getting helped out by going after DH. If it was on any other day, it would be cancelled by now. It's drop below ten million at the half is disasterous considering its lead in. Again, something else has to go there mid-season.
Almost equally as disasterous is TAR. Below ten million and 3 in a demo? That is not what CBS wants. Again, as I said before, it needs to be moved. It can't survive the competition.
AFV also went down a whole lot from last week. Under 2 in the demo is not good. Hopefully it can bounce back.
CC, The Unit, 60 Minutes, and EM:HE all did well for their networks. DH is falling but still an asset to ABC and still can be used to launch something else.
CW MRC block's ratings are terrible. I've already said that the show ideas weren't appealing, and it looks like it isn't finding an audience. I know CW has committed to doing 13 episodes of it, but its time for a bailout plan. Surely they must have a clause in the contract for when ratings are this bad. MRC has programming they used for other networks, perhaps sub that in for Valentine and Easy Money until Surviving Surburbia and F.A.T. City is ready.

If CBS cancels Worst Week, Eleventh Hour (wait until we see week two's ratings), and Ex-List, they will have a VERY strong lineup.

That's because of the football overrun last week. It's never a demo leader. But the fact that it gained more viewers than TAR in a lesser watched timeframe, is very good for CBS.

ABC has much bigger problems to worry about than B&S.

CBS had a good week, but the margin of victory in the demo was alot closer than some assumed it would be, especially, considering how poor a week ABC had.
