Agreed. I think B&S is having a wonderful season thus far, especially the mix of business and family, which has been one of the major plot points thus far.
As for DH, another great episode last night. Joe Keenan (who wrote "Bang") really knows how to write this show. The one-liners were coming fast and furious.
Gaby: "You shoved my daughter on the lawn" Susan: "Tell Bob and Lee I will pay for the dent".
Yes, it has. And it probably should leave as planned after seven seasons.

Take away DH's lead-in and this show would end up with DSM kind of numbers
And isn't anyone worried about DH's numbers. Come on 15 million and below 6 in demos isn't very good at all. I'm not saying it's gonna get canceled but clearly has lost a lot of steam
I think all ABC's big serialised shows have gone way past their peak (Lost, Grey's, Housewives). From here onwards, they're all going to keep falling year to year, following the path of ER.
Luckily Lost only has 2 more years, so it'll end with reasonable ratings.

America’s Funniest Home Videos on ABC (Viewers: 6.39 million; A18-49: 1.9/ 6)
Wife Swap and Supernanny built their audience on Friday, but I think AFHV would be a good fit with that line up. Perhaps at mid-season give Wife Swap a break and try AFHV there. If I remember correctly, repeats were at 4 million on a Friday for AFHV.

I am not really worried at all about the numbers for DH. To draw 15+ in a fifth season of a serialized show in today's television market is awesome. Year to year loses are expected, but the show is still doing amazing.

Agree 100%, and that's the problem with serialized shows these days. Their big momnets can't last more than a couple of seasons

I would call these numbers anything but amazing. A show that no one talks about like NCIS is trashing DH in viewing numbers

People talk about CSI. You bring it up constantly. I don't compare procedural dramas on CBS to serialized shows because the audiences are different, as they should be. And I stand by calling DH's numbers amazing. I still think, for a show, that needs an audience to watch week in and week out to draw 15+ in a fifth year, in a market of tv now where 7 million is considered "decent" is amazing.

Well considering the sports overruns, it was to be expected- 60 Minutes (and TAR) do a lot better when CBS has the late game in most of the country and goes over. Still, 9.17 million for TAR is pretty good considering they were up against baseball AND football...and a good ep too, as Read the F----- Clue! Syndrome takes out a team, but not the one I expected- and getting into a feud with another team over a freaking sports bra???? Jeez....
Desperate Housewives is still doing better than Grey's Anatomy this season. Both are down, but not out and both remain vitally important to ABC given the near total failure they have in other timeslots.
Brothers&Sisters is a timeslot 'hit' only. Without DH to prop it up, it would be lucky to get 7 million viewers. The week to week viewer number is ok, but the demo drop and half hour tuneout don't look very good.
dumont, just for you, Hulu.com has added both Valentine and Easy Money to the shows they offer. So that crowd will be able to sample the show if they want.
