THanks for the final numbers. So for Supernatural that means in total viewers this is its best February performance since the CW started (though it has done better in the 18-34 demo on 02/01/07 with a 1.6).
Good overall for Fox, good for Private Practice (need to see how it fares a month from now), and disappointing for Grey's and the whole NBC lineup (I mean seriously with all that promotion thats all the office could manage?).
The Grey’s Anatomy cross-over gave Private Practice a nice lift, with the sophomore drama at a season-high (and dominant) 12.99 million viewers and a 5.3/14 among adults 18-49 at 10 p.m. Comparably, retention out of the second half of lead-in Grey’s Anatomy (Viewers: 15.72 million; A18-49: 6.0/15 at 9:30 p.m.) was a solid 83 percent in total viewers and 88 percent in the demo.
Wow. I was almost going to ask if that wasn't a typo, then I saw the retention numbers. That is one big boost. I guess that Addison centric promos do work.
Raising the obvious question...if they like her so much, why don't they just watch her on PP under normal conditions?
Bait and switch. The first season was all about promoting the new characters, and people felt cheated. This season Addison's personal evolution and drama has been stuck doing book ends of the episodes so far. This is the first time they give her some real juicy personal drama the entire show!
And suddenly all those disappointed viewers that for almost two seasons felt cheated decided that this time they will believe the promo and tuned in? And of course it had nothing to do with highly promoted Grey's/PP crossover? I guess rather most viewers believed that when they watch PP episode they will see some of their favourite Grey's characters guest starring and that's the reason for higher ratings. By the way ABC must be really desperate to air such misleading promos to gain more viewers. For about two weeks they were promoting crossover starting this week when it actually will be only next week.
A slight decrease from last week IIRC. However, the numbers are still very good.

Not quite, SN scored 3.96 million viewers on this season's premiere.

Not only will the Emmy voters not keep your statement in mind, but I bet they thought last night's episode was brilliant. Meanwhile, we're in stitches watching any episode of "Big Bang Theory" and the Emmys probably won't acknowledge that show anytime soon!

Was the Non-Crossover big enough and bad enough that it would have pissed people off enough for them to NOT watch next week?

It's 2 hours of GA.
From last weeks Private Practice numbers with no new GA to this week with a crossover was a big difference. Question is, what happens when it's over? If ratings for PrivatePractice goes right back to where it was, then what?

That is the million dollar question. Can PP keep the newly gained attention. Behind GA It was already growing in retention every week. Last week it aired behind a GA repeat and in the demo only 4 of 10 the episodes aired on Wednesday did better.
So far there wasn't the major backlash that followed the back-door pilot, Gizzie, or the dead Denny, so I don't think that people where annoyed, either with the way they where lured into watching PrP, or with the episode itself.

MyNetworkTV got a high viewership for last nights broadcast premiere of Mr. John Sayles' 'THE HONEYDRIPPERS', which attracted 1.9 million viewers to the network as per Mr. Hal Boedeker of orlandosentinel.com.
That is the highest viewership for the Thursday movie since 'NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION' on December 11th.
How well will NASCAR's Bud Shootout do on FOX?Predict now! Also...
This will be the first season of Outpickem where it's NOT necessary to watch "Survivor" but you must know how the game of "Survivor" is played; please use your favorite actor, actress or famous personality as your alias for this season. We have 13 players so far. We need at least 3 more to have a timely start next Thursday but I encourage all reality-TV fans to join in the fun! I have played this game for 3 seasons now and it really is a great game. If you like any reality TV this is like a virtual reality experience. Hope to see you there! Also, whoever signed into the tribe as dutchdennis please login to the Survivor site and read the PM I sent before next Thursday and make the necessary changes. Thanks.

I don't really see how this is an issue. If anything, its giving people a chance to see the much much better Private Practice.
