Since the game starts at 6:20pm, you usually have about an hour of primetime available after the game, which ends around 10pm, in most years.
Plus, why not use the SB as a Leadin ot pump a show? You end up having about 60 million, after post game, to sample a show. Some work, some Don't.

You would definitely get a lot of viewers.
at 8pm, no. but at 9-11pm, yes, off an on. When you have CSI and 11th Hour in Originals, CBS has usually won the 18-49 Demo for the night, even when Grey's is Original.

I doubt 18-49 demo. ABC hasn't done that in months, when both are in originals.
Has CBS been 'in originals' since Survivor finished up months ago?

Surprised to see relatively low numbers for GA. I would have expected more from it because of the Crossover and the Non CSI Competition.
Next week, GA should have a slight Drop. PP should drop too, but perhaps not as low as its its average numbers.
CBS will win in viewers, ABC in 18-49 and 18-34.
I doubt 18-49 demo. ABC hasn't done that in months, when both are in originals.
But PP will experience a similar (or perhaps stronger) crossover episode ratings boost (the ACTUAL crossover apparently is next week). It'll be close, since Betty will get, what, slightly over 50% of Survivor's demo?
CSI has had 3 originals since Survivor ended, Grissom's last episode and 2 episodes with Fishburne only.

You still get 20-30 million people to watch a show, quite a few of which otherwise would never watch it. That's why they run originals after the Super Bowl.

How well will Cops & America's Most Wanted do on their first Friday airing?Predict now! Also...
This will be the first season of Outpickem where it's NOT necessary to watch "Survivor" but you must know how the game of "Survivor" is played; please use your favorite actor, actress or famous personality as your alias for this season. We have 12 players so far. We need at least 3 more to have a timely start next Thursday but I encourage all reality-TV fans to join in the fun! I have played this game for 3 seasons now and it really is a great game. If you like any reality TV this is like a virtual reality experience. Hope to see you there! Also, whoever signed into the tribe as dutchdennis please login to the Survivor site and read the PM I sent before next Thursday and make the necessary changes. Thanks.

Yea, its always close between the to nets. What may be key for CBS is that 11H will be stronger against PP than UB will be against Surivior
Glad you're enjoying Travis. I have the latest two eps to catch up on but I'm guessing its getting better. George was one of the biggest problems with Greys all along. He was by far the most unrealistic doctor of them all if you ask me. I think Greys may be back on the upswing in the ratings.

I agree, I too hope they continue to phase George out.
mushu_jj recently recommended I start watching it again because the quality has risen considerably. He was right.

I rather enjoyed the fake crossover between Grey's and Private. I havent watched either in awhile, so it was a pleasant surprise. I gave up on Greys with the whole Denny's ghost b.s. I am also glad that they are phasing out that oh-so-whiny TR knight, it was nice knowin' ya George!!! I also noticed in the Private credits that Marti Noxon is no longer one of the producers. All I can say is.... Thank God. Her ideas of storytelling were ludicrous at best. She completely weighed down the credibility of that show. I just may have to give this show another chance.

Perhaps you're right but I think 11th Hour's demo is nothing to brag about given its lead in. It may cost CBS the night. Of course, the same could be said about Betty.

I saw Family Guy aired after The Simpsons which aired after The Super Bowl. Despite Family Guy being cancelled and brought back, couldnt you technically count it since it brings in pretty good demos today?

Greys Anatomy was a hit pre-Superbowl ep but outdid Housewives regularly after that episode aired.
