Wow!! Medium's numbers are really good, especially after some of the numbers it put up last season. And the retention out of Deal or No Deal is not great, but still NBC has got to be ecstatic that they're finally competing in the 10pm slot on Mondays. For Medium to score #2 overall and #1 in the demo after barely finishing last last season is amazing. And the continued growth of the show in the first few episodes, while marginal, is still great for a show that was barely able to sustain 7 million viewers last season. Just goes to show what everyone has said all along. Medium belongs in the Monday at 10pm slot. I would love to see what it could do with a lead-in like Heroes. I bet the retention would shoot way up for it.

True, but not as quickly as BW.
With only the 8 episodes to air, FOX should keep it for next fall and do some minor retooling for the Fall Relaunch (.ie. get rid of the female Terminator)
I think it's falling faster than BW right now. It took BW 4 episodes to get to 8.62 million viewers/3.4 (3rd episode got 10.28/ 3.9).
People do have a lot more positive things to say about SCC than they did about BW, so it's possible it will not continue to fall, particularly at this rate, but so far, it is doing worse than BW did.

As in "Heroes would do worse than DOND, so Medium would look better." or "Medium fits better with Heroes than DOND so Medium's ratings would be better."?
I would like a breakdown for OR as well. Like a say every week too bad more people have not discovered this show, the s/l's are really starting to heat up. At least its ratings are consistant.
Gald to see AG had another good week in the ratings. It is pure entertainment that show. I love the Gladiator's cheesy 1 liners.

Yea... its going to GROW out of 2.5 Men, when it had trouble growing out of HIMYM.
I expect Old Christine to get numbers similar to what Rules... is getting now. about 8.5-9 million viewers.
BW was up against first-run scripted shows--SCC is up against repeats and crap reality, and had a huge lead-in generated audience for the premiere. Maybe it had a better pilot than BW, but it's not all that much better as a show, and it needed to be.

If they're going to give it another chance, dumping Glau's character is definitely something they need to do. It'll piss off Joss Whedon fans, but who cares?
I agree. This is a franchise that is based in the action first. I did enjoy last night episode, it could have used a scene or tow with a little more action.
But that would drive up the budget a lot, and the ratings just a little.
Typical Monday with NBC having some pretty decent results. Too bad their pulling Medium for 3 weeks now. It will almost certainly hurt it. As for ABC, kudos to Dance Wars. Unfortunate to see the very funny Notes not catch on. I am also an OR fan but that show has slowed way down in pace and its starting to drive me insane. Just let us know who the kids dad is already!

I already signed up. Can we get a Terminator thread in the Monday section, please? Thank you.

And of course, BW didn't start out with nearly as many viewers.

Yeah, if by 'people' you mean TV critics and online genre fans. I guess they count as people. Kind of.

But in fairness, that could be in part because BW soured people on this type of show. They had already been disappointed once, and when they saw the warning signs again, a lot of them just skipped out sooner, saying "Well, this is where I came in."
Which means the sooner they get rid of the hot cyborg, the better, because that's the single thing that most reminds people of BW.
But honestly, the budget is too high. The show is already dangerously close to the point where FOX would have to cancel it. I can see them doing some tinkering, but then again--isn't the whole show just one long tinker with the original concept of a not-terribly-original movie franchise?
Earth to Hollywood--not everything has to be a remake or a sequel or a remake of a sequel.
