Based on the 6 ratings they got in the overnights and the addition of House on Mondays, I'm thinking both will drop to about 10 million, if not lower. Still, solid performances though.

Any predictions for these two before the results get posted?
There’s a new leader on Monday. Fox surged ahead of long-dominant CBS last night with a new lineup led by “House,” which moved from Tuesday night.
Fox averaged a 4.8 adults 18-49 rating and an 11 share for the night, according to Nielsen overnights, well ahead of second-place CBS’s 4.1/10.
Fox became the first network in months to top CBS on a night when it had original programming, and “House” was the main reason. The show averaged a 5.4 rating at 8 p.m., tying “Two and a Half Men” for No. 1 for the night.
That sucked some of the momentum from CBS, whose 8 p.m. comedies were both off from series-high ratings last week, though “The Big Bang Theory” and “How I Met Your Mother” still combined for a solid 4.2.
At 9 p.m., CBS won the hour on the strength of “Men,” though Fox’s “24,” settling into its regular timeslot in its second week, averaged a 4.1, just 0.1 behind CBS.
As a reminder, all ratings are based on live-plus-same-day DVR playback. Seven-day DVR data won’t be available for several weeks. Twenty-eight percent of Nielsen households have DVRs.
For the night, ABC placed third at 3.2/8, Univision fourth at 1.8/4, NBC fifth at 1.7/4 and CW sixth at 1.1/3.
At 8 p.m. Fox led with a 5.4 for “House,” followed by CBS with a 4.2 average for “Bang” (4.0) and “Mother” (4.5). ABC was third with a 3.2 for “The Bachelor,” Univision fourth with a 1.8 for “Cuidado con el Angel,” NBC fifth with a 1.5 for “Superstars of Dance” and CW sixth with a 1.0 for “Gossip Girl.”
CBS took the lead at 9 p.m. with a 4.2 for “Men” (5.4) and “Worst Week” (3.0), while Fox slipped to second with a 4.1 for “24.” ABC was third with a 3.9 for more “Bachelor,” Univision fourth with a 2.1 for “Fuego en la Sangre,” NBC fifth with a 1.8 for the second half of “Dance” and CW sixth with a 1.2 for “One Tree Hill.”
At 10 p.m. CBS was first again with a 3.7 for “CSI: Miami,” while ABC moved to second with a 2.7 for “True Beauty.” NBC was third with a 1.8 for the finale of “Momma’s Boys” and Univision fourth with a 1.4 for “Cristina.”
Fox and CBS tied for first for the night among households, each with a 7.9 average overnight rating and a 12 share, with ABC third at 5.7/9, NBC fourth at 3.6/6, Univision fifth at 2.1/3 and CW sixth at 1.7/2

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP POST GAME ON CBS 10:21 PM-10:30 PM 9 15.0/24, 9.5/23 10:30 PM-10:34 PM 4 13.3/21, 7.9/20 MENTALIST, THE SUNDAY 10:34 PM-10:45 PM 11 10.6/17, 5.3/13
After looking at that, The Mentalist didnt do as terrible as it looked before.
VOTE IN THE PIF NETWORK GAME: http://pifeedback.com/eve/foru...93910104/m/854104282 TONIGHT: ---> NEW <--- EPISODES OF GREATEST DAY, AND MEGA DODGEBALL. PLUS BACK FOR GOOD, GETTING SOME, THE ONLINE LIFE, AND YOU'VE GOT THE WRONG MAN! ALSO, ROSIE'S ROUNDTABLE (WITH BETTY WHITE!) AND GIRALDO LIVE!
That is a mid-show loss of 1.4 in the demo. Clearly, once people realized the game was over and the TV was still on, they corrected the error.
You can diss TM all you want but it is way above the hyped Fringe in acting , plot, and the two main leads . While I enjoy Fringe it is still a sci fi formula which has been done before and wjile there are those who still do the annoying TM and Psych comparison TM comes off as being much more compelling . Fringe needs a strong lead - in while TM has done very well without having NCIS at its lead - in and while others may scoff saying TM did not do well after football I think it damn well held its own and that's a compliment in itself . FRinge was hyped nonstop with ads saying it was the series everyone was waiting for while TM got hardly any hype nor publicity but yet TM was the new series kicking ass and getting viewers . Fringe got respectable demos but lost steam quickly in viewership . I think Fringe is good but not the great series as it was hyped to be while I expected TM to be good but it was better than I expected.

Care to elaborate about when The Mentalist did great without a lead-in? It certainly didn't put up stellar numbers after football and in its encore outing on Friday it pulled the same dip that all the 9pm shows have after GH.

TM did what Fringe is not doing LOL !! TM easily wins the title of the best new drama series of 2008 despite zilch publicity and hype and made Fringe look very weak in comparison ..

Fringe is pulling more demo (hence more of the only thing that matters) than TM. Since the TV season started, there has been no shortage of hype for the Mentalist. It has had WAY more hype that Fringe since the TV season started.
