I second that. Studio 60 started so promising this season and look where it is now. Even I stopped watching as of last week. Don't get me wrong: the acting is top notch, the writing not so bad...but I couldn't get me to care for the characters...there was simply nothing which let me wait impatiently for the next episode. That is why Studio 60 will be an absolute failure by the end of the season (with approximately 5 million viewers left).

And that's assuming NBC leaves it where it is.
How low do you think the #'s can get once it doesn't have Heroes to hold it up?

I NEVER question a good laugh, no matter where it comes from. But I was laughing during this past Sunday's Simpsons ep--#384. HIMYM is just warming up now (took them a while to perfect the rhythm between the cast members), but I doubt it'll be making me guffaw by its 84th ep. Still very grateful for last night's guffaws. But at some point, those kids are gonna brain Bob Saget with a chair and walk out of the study. Better end it before then. Though actually, not a bad series finale....

Well, Medium was indeed NBC's 3rd drama last season (after L&O:SVU and ER) and they simply didn't want it to move to Wednesday, Thursday or even Friday...and at that time Studio 60 had the higher priority for NBC...so they waited to bring it back which does not change the fact that it used to be one of their highest rated shows.
Actually, at the upfronts back in May, NBC had announced that Medium would air on Sundays at 10:00pm once SNF completed its season. I guess that plan. In the same announcement, the Black Donnellys is supposed to air after ER finishes its run of 23 straight episodes. With Medium now on Wednesday's, things obviously didn't go the way NBC thought they would with their new shows.

I think its about a possible other hit-show created by him...what if such a "Lost 2" aired on another network like NBC or CBS...ABC wouldn't want to risk that.
Don't understand the theory here. Afterall, ABC has pulled Six Degrees off their sked (a JJ show) and even though they say it will return in January, there's no additional scripts or shows ordered. If they can cancel that show, why wouldn't they be able to cancel WAB? It seems there is something or someone at the network that wants this show on the air.

As long as it isn't some terribly drawn out wedding... and no one thinks of going to Paris.

If Marshall and Lily aren't married by the end of this season, the shark has officially jumped.
Oh, and they have to fix Alyson Hannigan's hair back the way it was.

Abrams would be severely peeved if ABC just came out and canceled every Bad Robot show but Lost. Although it may reach the point where ABC decides they just don't give a damn whether JJ is peeved or not, they obviously haven't quite reached that point yet.
The scary part for Abrams is that if Lost continues to drop, they may decide even that Bad Robot show is too high maintenance to keep around much longer. But I can't see Lost not going to a fourth season.

As much as I have tired, I cannot get addicted to HIMYM. I just did see what all the hype is about. Then again, I was not a big fan of Friends either.

Yes, but since he is also the creator of Felicity, Alias, What About Brian, and Six Degrees, one has to ask--did he REALLY create Lost?
No, J.J. is not the creator of Lost, he's a co-creator. Damon Lindelof (the real show runner) and Jeffrey Lieber are the ones he co-created the show with. And by the way, the only show he created by himself was Alias. Felicity was also a co-creation. Six Degrees and What About Brian were created by other people, he's just one of the executive producers.

Re HIMYM--I pretty much base my decision on whether to watch it or not by reading the ep description on my onscreen cable guide. Last night's sounded promising--and for once the promises were kept.

The origins of Lost are even more complex than that--the network pitched the concept to Abrams & Co, and it may not have even been their concept to pitch--there was a lawsuit. And yeah, I know Abrams didn't create all these shows, but how many would have made it to the airwaves without his name on them? Not Six Degrees, I bet.

What about moving Everybody hates Chris to 7:30 on Sunday out of Reba. All three are shows the whole family could watch and Chris deserves better than to be stuck with 3 other shows that resemble it mostly only by race. It's also unfair to Reba and 7th Heaven to rely on a Reba Rerun to fill the gap. How funny is it that Reba and 7th were given insulting half season orders and then CW needs to rely on them to fill gaps with rerun episodes?
