I usually don't get personally...but even the weakest episode of CiC was tree times better than the strongest one of WAB.

I know nuttin'! Actually, I give ABC credit for renewing What About Brian for season two. I always say a show needs time to find an audience, and ABC had enough faith to remain patient. But the loss of audience over the last two weeks concerns me, and now I am wondering if ABC will keep that full season order intact.

I have been reading and quite a few people have posted on the topic of "What about Brian" I love the show.

However, why is MARC keeping silent on the topic? he keeps ignoring us on the topic of Brian and keeps talking about CSI miami, himym, or studio 60. What do you know marc that we don't ?????????

I didn't mean it that way...but it would have been a long time since the show had such a strong lead-in like Heroes.

so disagree about HIMYM. Did you watch last night? I could not stop laughing. It has its down weeks, especially in the first season, but it's been so consistently hilarious this year. Slap bet? Robin's Canadian pop star video? Come on!

I don't watch the show regularly, but I did catch last night's, and it was pretty hilarious.

How many seasons do they think they can stretch out that premise, though?

Well, maybe they want to make nice with JJ Abrams? Wink

Lack of time slots for its #3 drama? I don't think so!

I beg your pardon? Medium was NBC 3rd Drama last season and has been moved to Wednesday (from its initial Monday slot) after a 2-month-hiatus due to NBC's lack of timeslots...I don't thin that NBC should get rid of one of its most powerful assets...they should just move the show back into its old timeslot and it will literally explode...you'll see.

Well, Medium was indeed NBC's 3rd drama last season (after L&O:SVU and ER) and they simply didn't want it to move to Wednesday, Thursday or even Friday...and at that time Studio 60 had the higher priority for NBC...so they waited to bring it back which does not change the fact that it used to be one of their highest rated shows.

Right, creator of LOST, what would JJ have done to abc if WaB was cancelled last year?

Yay for Heroes hitting the 16 million mark! NBC promoted it nonstop last week, and it was an important episode in the storyline, so I was hoping it would do well in the ratings.

It's too bad NBC doesn't have the Super Bowl until 2009 -- a special post-SB episode of Heroes would probably get the same kind of ratings bump that Grey's Anatomy received a year ago.

I think its about a possible other hit-show created by him...what if such a "Lost 2" aired on another network like NBC or CBS...ABC wouldn't want to risk that.

I think it was showing signs of weakening. It dropped 20% from season 1 to 2:

Yes, but since he is also the creator of Felicity, Alias, What About Brian, and Six Degrees, one has to ask--did he REALLY create Lost? Or did he just administrate over its creation? There's a lot of info out there that makes it questionable how much of Lost really comes from Abrams--and how much he simply fine-tuned an existing concept, with a whole lot of help.

Lost is by far the most NON-Abramsesque Abrams show of all--and he's never been the showrunner on it. And since his much-ballyhoo'd return to semi-active duty on Lost this season--well, we've said a lot about this season, haven't we? Not mainly good things.

Sorkin, IMO, is a decent (overrated) writer, but a lousy showrunner.

Abrams is a more effective producer than Sorkin, but his writing is not so hot, and he gets distracted very easily. Mind you, Lost benefited from his neglect. So hopefully he'll get distracted again. Sooner the better.

Yeah, it definitely lost some steam but it had never a lead-in like Heroes...by airing after it the show could return to its 1st season ratings (13-14 million viewers)...
