Marc, I think CBS needs to cancel both How I Met Your Mother and The Class, they seem mediocre.
I so disagree about HIMYM. Did you watch last night? I could not stop laughing. It has its down weeks, especially in the first season, but it's been so consistently hilarious this year. Slap bet? Robin's Canadian pop star video? Come on!
The ratings could definitely be better. It's only a second season show, and it never had a HUGE lead-in like Two and a Half Men to pump its ratings up. Probably too early in its run to anchor a night. But cancel it? For shame.
i think that maybe they should not move medium behind heroes...
medium is a solid player and lets face it...weds on nbc are dead without it...if i had to choose a show i would say probably l&o:ci...with a strong lead-in it will cut into csi:miami and do alot better than in its current slot...than push studio (a totally different audience to tuesdays at 9pm....will it do better than CI....no, but i think it will match what it gets on mondays...plus CI will grow.

Studio 60 and What About Lamo are bureaucratic breakdown and cronyism in action. They go with the credited producers despite the fact that they are creatively cooked becuase if they fail, they can blame Sorko and JJ, not themselves. They re-up becuase, as Marc said, cronyism. They owe thier viewers and advertisers, not JJ. This explains the paucity of original programming and rise of reality. Risk averse bureacracies and cronyism. GE's gonna clean the whgole stall out soon enough. O'Reilly's a veritable Rumsfeld at this point.
The thing about JJ is that, despite being at the enbd of his creative rope, somebody just staked him with 60 mill. His agent's put quite a load over his shoulders. How is supposed to create undetr those plush and suited conditions? He ain't. But they gotta prop him up either way.
Studio 60 is a huge embarrassment, any other spin is full of toxic crap.

I love ABC however this one I don't get. Last year WAB did poorly and I know the demos may have been promising and all and that they are gungho on the show--however the writing was on the walls back then and is there more apparent today. And to renew this show over Commander in Chief--totally ridiculous.
Medium should go to Weds at 9 following Big Looser. Then at ten, a new show. If Medium, cannot stand the heat (of weds 9pm), get rid of it.

Totally agree...ABC should have ordered at least 13 episodes of Commander and Chief and with DWTS the show could have easily surged to 13-14 million viewers...

I beg your pardon? Medium was NBC 3rd Drama last season and has been moved to Wednesday (from its initial Monday slot) after a 2-month-hiatus due to NBC's lack of timeslots...I don't thin that NBC should get rid of one of its most powerful assets...they should just move the show back into its old timeslot and it will literally explode...you'll see.
ok, my turn. I have been reading and quite a few people have posted on the topic of "What about Brian" I love the show.
However, why is MARC keeping silent on the topic? he keeps ignoring us on the topic of Brian and keeps talking about CSI miami, himym, or studio 60. What do you know marc that we don't ?????????
