I watched FlashForward as well and it was good, but let's face it - the ratings have been disappointing. I guess the viewing public would rather watch Scrappy-Doo... um, I mean Evil Russell on "Survivor".

Wow... looking at those local ratings, Fox underperforms badly in Chicago. I wouldn't be surprised if "Bones" was beat by "The Vampire Diaries" locally. WFLD sucks as a Fox O&O here.

I really loved the episode last night but I think viewers these days suffer from "Lost-itis", if they don't get answers right away, they tend to lose interest pretty quickly. This does not bode well for V in my opinion although V is a much simpler show in terms of concept ie good vs bad and not all this philosophical fate and destiny concept. I do hope FF stabilizes because this is not the kind of show that casual viewers will come back to unfortunately.

I have to admit I love Survivor, Russell has to be one fo the best contestants ont he show in awhile(I love people who actually go there to play the game and have no guilt about it).

It's nice to see Survivor ratings getting better as the season goes on.

I loved seeing Russell weaving his way out of trouble last night and was very pleased of who went to the jury instead. One of the best episodes of the series ever.

Flash Forward is becoming a concern. For being such a high profile project, it really shouldn't be in the mid 2 demos this early.

Uhh... you think 200,000 viewers is such a big difference? It's not Fringe that kills it, in fact CSI and Grey's hurt it more. There's a lot that factors in the ratings being down, but blaming it on Fringe alone just isn't accurate. With a lead in like VD SPN should be doing better, it's time for Supernatural to end.

Yup, one of the highest rated shows on the CW should end. Duh, of course.

SPN grew against ~football~ to its best numbers in weeks. Dipped against another genre show. If that's not telling, then I don't know what is. I'm not saying it's all Fringe's fault. But when you put two genre shows in one slot, they will affect each other. SPN is still among the most DVR-ed shows.

And with regard to its network, it's holding better in this time slot than Fringe - generally, it still is the CW's 3rd best rated show. Fringe? Not so much. If push comes to shove, which network will keep its show? Fox Fringe with 1.7 or the CW SPN with 1.2? And remember that SPN never targeted W18-34 and thanks to its lead-in it's now 30% up in that demo.

And I don't get the "it should hold more of TVD" - the shows are absolutely not compatible. TVD is a girly show. In SPN they shoot at zombies! That's like saying the repeat of ANTM should hold more of Smallville's viewership. There's just very little crossover audience.

With Fringe, I think the problem is high competition on Thursdays and the fact that it doesn't mesh with Bones well. However, there really isn't a place where FOX can move Fringe. Mondays are booked with 24. Fringe is too expensive and won't likely find traction on Fridays. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are Idol dominated. They have to make room for Human Target and Glee. They are running out of options and the only likely one is keeping it on Thursdays and hoping it picks up.

Rounding off the 9 p.m. hour was Fox’s Fringe (Viewers: #4, 4.95 million; A18-49: #4, 1.7/ 4), which will pick up some of its lost audience via DVR usage,

Which is cold comfort for FOX, at best.

I didn't see all of last night's ep, but it wasn't as bad as most of the S2 efforts--the cast chemistry remains strong, but the scripts continue to be flat and unconvincing.

I still think it's getting a third season, but I'm increasingly convinced it shouldn't. It's a damn shame, because they had a show here, and they didn't know what to do with it, besides run variations on old X-Files plots.

But it's still better than V. Smiler

I agree. They should have Megan Mullally back again, too. She makes a great nemesis for Leslie. Maybe they could work out a plot where she turns out to be a friend of Louis C.K.'s character.

Survivor was so good last night. I really hope we get another several seasons. It is renewed for at least one more right? I can't see this show ever being off air...I mean...being on for almost a decade, and pulling it higher ratings/demos than shows in their first season? The show is incredible. And there is no other host like Jeff.

Community was alright last night.

I loved Parks...such a good show and I am glad it got a full season. I love AMy so much, and I really wish for success..

Office was alright. 30 Rock was alright as well.

It's always Sunny was incredible!! Smiler

I see the show lasting for a long time. When the show starts losing it's steam on Thursday nights, they will probably move it to another night or just make it a summer replacement series.

I find them very compatible. Girly show? lol
In SPN they shoot zombies? Well in VD they stake Vampires. Don't see much difference. They're different shows, sure, but they deal with similar themes. Also, SPN had its best ratings when following Gilmore Girls, a far "girlier" show than VD. Wink

I'm into Fringe and it's still good.

But that move to Thursday nights vs. ratings powerhouses from ABC, NBC & CBS has done 'em in. Since FOX released the 2009 fall schedule in May, I knew that it would.

And because of those 3 competing shows (along with the steadily-performing Supernatural), Fringe doesn't even do well in the Adults 18-49 demo anymore!

I liked it last season, but I'm not sure it was ever all that good--it just had the POTENTIAL to BECOME good. I was responding to that potential last season, along with a lot of other people, but the promises aren't being kept. Like, for example, they promised us Leonard Nimoy, and he didn't even appear in the S2 premiere.

I think it's just exposed the show's weaknesses. If it was living up to expectations, it would be doing a lot better.
