Probably the drop is a little bigger than usual beacause of the election results, but the impact of the news networks isn't very significative

For the PIFC Daily Game, I've only been using the 6 broadcast networks (yes, MyNetworkTV IS a broadcast network, people!) for featured shows but as we head into the late spring and summer days, the obvious featured shows will appear on cable. I'm always wary of using cable shows because I do not know how quickly I'd retrieve its data so I probably need the help of some ratings data providers like TravisYanan and exmalibu to help out. So, here's my question, especially to Travis: which cable shows are you most likely to provide ratings for in the coming weeks and months? Next Wednesday is the season premiere of Comedy Central's South Park. Just wondering.

jericho.... I believe several cities in Texas and Ohio ( possibly vermont and rhode island as well) pushed Jericho until early Wed AM to make room for local primary network tv coverage at 10PM... probably explains the loss of viewers... new amsterdam... second episode is a lot better than the first so I would expect some people to stick around thursday night and again on Monday.

Don't write of New Amsterdam of yet. It got almost 14 million and it will be on the air again on thursday after AI again. so this show has a chance to find it footing. Also this show is good. And there is endless storytelling about Amsterdam he is 400 years old they can tell many stories of what he have seen in life. He has lived through the wild west, world war 1 and 2 just to name a few. This could get really interesting

MyNetworkTV had a strong night last night for an all-repeat line-up, and so far this week is doing rather well vis-a-vis The CW:
CW vs. MNT, average in Week 24, after 2 nights of finals (courtesy of exmalibu):
The CW 1.888m viewers, 0.9 A18-49 MyNetworkTV 1.440m viewers, 0.6 A18-49
With the upcoming Flavor Flav sitcom debuting in April, and the 4-million plus WWE Smackdown moving over to MyNetworkTV in September, things are looking rather good for the nascent News Corp network, cobbled together for the cast-off affiliate stations of the WB-UPN merger, and now readying to accelerate and go into the passing lane.

Depends what's on... I can get FX stuff (Dirt, which already premiered, and The Riches), I can get South Park. I'll have The Wire series finale whenever final ratings for Sunday come in (probably next Tuesday). I can give The Tudors, which is coming back to Showtime... I dunno, ask me about a series/cable network and I'll let you know if I get it!

At the rate they're going, we sure don't have to worry about them getting a ticket.
Oh snap!

Nice snapshot in time there, it means absolutely nothing. Even more so with every night on the CW increase above that number and every night on MNTV decrease from their number. Always good for a laugh. Even with Smackdown next year, they won't touch weekly averages from the CW.

I would like any of the HBO Series Real Time With Bill Maher which airs on Fridays if possible. quote: Originally posted by TravisYanan: quote: Originally posted by Douglas: For the PIFC Daily Game, I've only been using the 6 broadcast networks (yes, MyNetworkTV IS a broadcast network, people!) for featured shows but as we head into the late spring and summer days, the obvious featured shows will appear on cable.

I think CW will fall another 20% next fall year. Their Fridays will be lucky to average half of right now (around 2 million). Smallville will sink into 3 million viewer territory on a weekly basis. Top Model is starting to wear on viewers. The comedy block is as dead as a doornail. None of the current shows would've lasted 6 weeks on the old WB or UPN, especially UPN. Its not going to get pretty. At least MNTV is going in the right direction.
