I watch Boston legal (1st of all, cause I DVR it) because I wanna watch it, I am not some drone watching silly shows like DWTS that happen to run in to the next show (I also have a remote control), I am sure David E Kelly doesn't want those viewers anyways, can't we just analyze shows but themselves, stand-alone! I watch all my TV by DVR, so I am no advertisers dream, but I am for TV, maybe it's time for them to separate!? Creative TV should never be in-bed with money making business, but what are ya to do? hopefully it will all change soon and a show can be judged by itself alone!
It's also great to know that Boston legal has 10M (approx) Intelligent viewers, thats probably enough!

BL is a a loser not because of the absolute numbers it got, but because of how relatively small they were in relation to its lead-in.

ABC should move it then. BL, as has been proven before, is not dependent on a lead-in. If it went back to Tuesday, it would still achieve 9-10 and 2.3-2.6 in the demo. Same ol', same ol. And those numbers would still be better than FOUR-FIVE other ABC hour-long programs. But, alas, this is the final season, so what must be must be.

I understand it being a loser because of the Dancing lead-in, but the show's numbers absolute, as you put it, are actually decent.

CRAP!! NBC needs to change the night that chuck airs right now! this show is too good to be canceled.

Are we worried yet? Does anyone think changing the airing night will help?

As good as this is – and it is tremendous – Cloris Leachman on Dancing With the Stars is beginning to wear very thin. While I admire her gusto, I also think this is a competition that needs to be treated more seriously. Don’t you?

DWTS Should be taken as a "Serious" competition???? Are you kidding me???!!!

ABC said (not on the show, but in a press release) that someone WOULD be eliminated tonight, and this was after the whole Misty-Mae incident came to light. I think they might do a non-elimination on another week, but I really do believe someone is leaving tonight.

I'm really happy that BBT and HIMYM are continuing to do well. Also, it's unusual for the 8pm show to beat the 8:30 one isn't it?

I must say, though How I Met is probably the better crafted of the two, Big Bang makes me laugh a lot more and I think it has the potential to grow quite a bit more.

What a fall for Heroes. I liked the first season, but everything since then has been blah to me.

Worst Week (Viewers: #2, 8.79 million; A18-49: #3, 3.0/ 7)

OK, Taking bets NOW on date and Time a press release will be out announcing either the cancelation of Worse Week, the moving of it to a different slot or putting it on hiatus.

My guess is Today at 4:23pm ET

Heroes (NBC) – Monday 9 p.m.
10/08/07 – Viewers: 10.91 million (#3), A18-49: 5.1/12 (#1)
10/06/08 – Viewers: 8.21 million (#3), A18-49: 3.9/ 9 (#3)
Percent Change – Viewers: -25, A18-49: -24

That season #2 storyline did A LOT of damage to the series. Perhaps even killing it.... slowly.

If it holds up in the finals, because it is still close, it would be the first time since BBT/HIMYM have occupied the 8:00 or 8:30 slots or vice versa that the 8:00 show had more total viewers than the 8:30 show for an original episode.

Am I rigt, Obveeus or are you going to correct me on that point ? I did say if it holds up in t he finals, because it could change.

IIRC, when Sara Evans was forced to drop out during her DWTS season, the show opted not to eliminate anyone the week Evans quit.

Take it from what you will given the source, but TMZ.com was reporting earlier today that the show contacted Kim Kardashian yesterday, and that she may be at tonight's show. After reading that, I could see DWTS pulling a funny (in their minds) by "eliminating" Kardashian, this time for laughs (again, in their minds).

I have a feeling they are going to give it two more weeks. CBS has new shows for the 13th and 20th and then repeats scheduled for the 27th, so not to go up against the World Series. They could use the two weeks after the 20th to promote the new lineup, and it gives Worst Week two chances without DWTS in the time slot the next two weeks.

Heroes should be canceled as well. It won't be beacause it's doinh OK in demos but the viewing numbers are a disaster

And yes CBS is not doing all that great. The numbers for 21/2M and CSIM are worrying

I wonder how much damage is being done to CBS because of the LIN TV / Time Warner retransmition dispute? Its affecting about a dozen markets, mostly with CBS Affiliates. It went dark starting with last Friday's programming.

Here in Indy, it affects about 125,000 cable subscribers that must either watch online or get out the OLD rabbit ears.

I don`t see Fox canceling PB before the 22 episodes (yes it is a 22 eps order). They`ll probably end SCC after 13 eps and bring PB back to 8pm

Life is a Friday show where it could possibly grow a bit.

At this point, NBC needs to start doing SOMETHING Diiferent with the schedule.

I know you cant replace all the shows, but since most shows are not working in their slots, start moving them around to try and find an audience.

Just imagine what NBC's weekly numbers would look like WITHOUT NFL Sunday Night Football in the mix. Eeker

Check past programs to have aired out of Dancing. None have done much better. Boston Legal in many ways is bringing a completely different audience to 10pm for ABC. Aside from Commander in Chief, it never really had a compatible lead in.
