Does anyone have numbers for MyNetworkTV last night, even of the overnight variety?
I have a sense that the "Breaking the Magician's Code" special at 9 pm gave them another good number (it garnered 24+ million on FOX a few years back as a November Sweep special). With a film starring Mr. Arnold Schwartzenegger tonight, a film starring Mr. Barry Watson (ex-What About Brian) tomorrow night, and the debut of NFL NETWORK: Total Access on Saturday night, I am anticipating a record week for MNT and quite possibly its first passing by The CW in the weekly numbers for this week.
Ever want to play a game in the format of Survivor while wagering on which castaway gets voted off each week on Survivor China? If so, it's your chance to do so this season. Please contact, if online, me (Douglas) before September 20, in the TV Talk chat room for more details...
I am not a MyTV viewer, but I would be interested in seeing how well the new shows are doing.

It will be a record, but I don't think it will pass the CW.

You liked "Temptation"? I wanted to as well, when I first heard that syndication was bringing this game show back but unfortunately, after viewing it last night, I did not like it at all.
I really liked the original show from NBC in the 1980s, entitled "$ale of the Century". If those who remember when "$ale" aired on daytime, its direct competition was my favorite game show of all time, CBS' "Press Your Luck".
"Temptation" is just a mere shell of the original. I recorded it for an hour, saw the first half-hour with the Idols (and why'd they pick the most annoying Idol contestants to play last night?) and deleted it shortly after - not even watching the second half-hour. Plus, the model showcasing the prizes was Nicole Pulliam from last year's "Fashion House", which was the only interesting thing about the game.
I recommend you watch this "$ale of the Century" episode instead. Jim Perry was a really good host on the show - he created suspense when tempting the contestants with bargains and he made the 60-second lightning round at the end very dramatic with his extremely loud yells of "RIGHT!"
Only problem with the 80s original game show was the show never found a suitable bonus round. But the first 25 minutes of each episode were good.
By the way, premiering a game show with a lame celebrity version doesn't bode well for its long term stay on TV.

I taped the Magician's Code last night. It's the first time I have ever watched MyNetwork.
I watched the magicians special last night, and found the explanations of various illusions to be quite fascinating. Especially the rabbit from the hat trick...I had no idea rabbits made such agreeable illusionist accompanists!
As to the Temptation game show, I have to agree with Douglas's review...the show was tedious at points, and almost embarassingly trivial to the charities that the American Idol contestants were playing on behalf of..."you just won $20 for your charity!"
I think MNT was using the Temptation premiere-preview as a test to see what numbers a gameshow might draw.
