What? are you on something? the oscars are huge, of course the SB is way bigger, but you cant deny how well the oscars do yearly
Maybe you didn't read what i wrote, or maybe you're on something. I said "oscars are not that big". Where am i wrong? SB is twice as big (well actually more than twice)

Just when you thought they couldn't show their blatant hatred enough, they go and schedule the season finale opposite the Super Bowl.
Make that reschedule, since they kept pushing the episodes back. I guess they needed to save them for those strategic opportunities when they're likely to get a, you know, zero share.

CW: CW Now Viewers: 521,000 (#5), A18-49: 0.2/ 0 (#5) ---------- CW: Aliens in America (R) Viewers: 462,000 (#5), A18-49: 0.1/ 0 (#5)
Congrats to the CW for finding a show that can/will perform worse than CW NOW.
The Aliens in America encore tied an all-time broadcast network low with MyNetworkTV in the A18-49 demo. To my knowledge, neither network has yet fallen to a 0.0 in the demo.

That is at least the 4th airing of that episode. Is it really logical/intelligent to pretend Aliens in America is doing worse that a new episode of CW Now?

I was just stating the obvious that Aliens in America did indeed set a new record low for The CW. If it has been repeated too often, then that is a valuable lesson learned for The CW. MyNetworkTV hasn't gone so low as 0.1 in many months.
Isn't it interesting that over the past two months, while MyNetworkTV has been setting all sorts of network best evers ahd highpoints, it is The CW that is dechieving with its own string of network lowpoints?

MNTV does have the advantage in not actually having any scripted programming, so they are 'immune' to the WGA strike. They are probably hoping that strike will last forever.

So with the buzz, and with NY and NE playing, next year will make the SB even bigger because of what happened this year. And to say how could it get better? Well are you asking as a fan of the NFL, because I have been rooting for NE to lose, so I didn't want them in the SB, and I wanted to GB to win because I hate Eli. But asking the NFL, they love it, and so will NBC, because they have next year's SB.
Why would next year's SB would be bigger? I don't get it. NE has broken all the records, no matter what happens there won't be as much buzz
The ad rates for the Super Bowl are always rising. The Super Bowl is so big that it doesn't matter about the match up, its the event itself. BUZZ is pretty much the same each year.

But the adertisers know that it will depend on the match-ups next year. If the Seahawks play the Bills in the Super Bowl next year look for more like 85 million viewers. (Still, huge because the NFL has done what the NBA and MLB don't, which is promote competative balance which leads to smaller markets still being able to draw high ratings). You are acting like the advertisers don't know and consider this already. This years buzz isn't going to make much of a difference next year when you are talking about the biggest buzz event TV to begin with.
Usually the Super Bowl is sold out way before the playoffs even begin, let alone when the SB matchups have been set.

Well, they do have about 40 hours each of unaired "Saints & Sinners" and "American Heiress" episodes that could be scheduled should the thirst for scripted programming become dire.
During the 2006-07, MyNetworkTV aired a substantial amount of original scripted fare (approximately 310 hours of scripted originals), which is more than The CW aired.
MyNetworkTV has both a sitcom and drama development project that are in abeyance due to the WGA strike. Until that dispute is settled, they are well-placed to compete with The CW using their growing number of well-rated reality series, strongly-rated specials and reliable theatrical movie franchises.
