SV is in the 8th season, SPN is in it's 4th. Smallville is more aged, that's all Mark said. What a sad sad death SV will have, no dignity of a once good show.
And they talk abot SPN fans.
Ah, I see. So the old, dying show has over 1,120,000 more viewers than the young, thriving show; as well as having a 7-tenths of a rating point lead in the CW's young adult demographic, right?
SV does have more viewers. 7th Heaven and Gilmore Girls also had more viewers than Smallville. And they ended. Because the shows were OLD, the actors wanted to move on, and shows can't go on forever even if they average 20 million viewers. I pity SV and it's fans for being unable to move on. I completelly plan to move on after SN's five seasons, even if it doesn't end, cause if it doesn't it'll suck by then, like SV sucks now.
Please check your facts, Hun. Smallville had more viewers than Gilmore Girls and 7th Heaven in the 2006-2007 season. And please save your pity, I don't need it. I'm loving this new season of Smallville, as well as Supernatural.

I think they do it to make themselves feel better. It's a shame that SN fans have toi act the way they do. I would have checked out the show a lot sooner than I did if the fans wouldn't have been so annoying.

Does anyone actually have credible (link)information of how much TSCC costs to make?
NPR did a story on the rising costs of TV dramas, and how networks were spending more and more on special effects--and chose SCC as the series to symbolize that change.
I keep reading how expensive it is to produce, but in comparsion to what? And once again, how much?
It's by no means the most expensive show ever made, week to week--but it's a one hour drama, with lots of fight scenes, lots of outdoor shooting, etc--and FOX spends a fortune promoting it. It's been a huge investment for them, and that's just common sense--they have not, to my knowledge, given out a per-ep budget. But FYI, Veronica Mars cost like 2mil an ep by the end of its run. There is no such thing as a cheap one hour drama on network TV--not even CW.
And the size of their investment is what makes them reluctant to admit it's a failure--they could have cut the cord much more easily if it was something low-budget. They will never make a profit from it. It was just a bad idea, from start to finish--or terminus, if you prefer. And one way or another, the terminus is coming in a few more months. Dead. Show. Walking.
