-Yesterday’s Winners: American Idol (Fox), The Bachelor: After the Final Rose (ABC)
-Honorable Mention: NCIS R (CBS), The Mentalist R (CBS), Without a Trace R (CBS)
-Yesterday’s Losers (Excluding Repeats): Homeland Security USA (ABC), Reaper (CW)
----------
-Ratings Breakdown: Fox, of course, ruled Tuesday care of American Idol, which averaged 24.21 million viewers and an 8.9 rating/23 share from 8-10 p.m. Here is the half-hour breakdown:
As good as this is, the year-ago telecast was considerably stronger at 28.44 million viewers and a 10.6/26 in the demo on March 4, 2008, based on the final nationals. As for my three picks to make it into the top 12: Lil Rounds, Felicia Barton and Scott MacIntyre. The potential Wild Card: Either Jorge Nunez, who totally deserves it, or Nathaniel Marshall, who I just don’t think the judges are ready to give up on yet. We shall see. .
Despite airing a night of repeats, CBS had a very respectable Tuesday showing with its combination of NCIS (Viewers: #2, 13.66 million; A18-49: #3, 2.6/ 7), The Mentalist (Viewers: #2, 12.76 million; A18-49: #3, 2.7/ 7) and Without a Trace (Viewers: #2, 10.50 million; A18-49: #3, 2.3/ 6). NBC aired another two-hour installment of The Biggest Loser (Viewers: #3, 8.96 million; A18-49: #2, 3.5/ 9 from 8-10 p.m.), which always delivers among adults 18-49, and a repeat of Law & Order: SVU (Viewers: #2, 7.02 million; A18-49: #2, 2.4/ 6).
In season-premiere news, sophomore CW drama Reaper got crushed opposite American Idol, with a last-place 2.36 million viewers and a 0.9/ 2 among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m. And that’s a real shame because there seems to be a small cult following for this series. Airing out of Reaper was a repeat of already renewed 90210 at a mere 1.15 million viewers and a 0.5/ 1 in the demo at 9 p.m.
Capping off Tuesday was fourth-place ABC, with its line-up of non-scripted dud Homeland Security, U.S.A. (Viewers: #4, 5.53 million; A18-49: #4, 1.6/ 4), two repeat episodes of Scrubs (Viewers: #4, avg. 3.37 million; A18-49: #4, avg. 1.3/ 3 from 9-10 p.m.), and part two of special The Bachelor: After the Final Rose (Viewers: #1, 10.85 million; A18-49: #1, 4.0/11 at 10 p.m.). Growth of a whopping 7.48 million viewers and a 208 percent in the demo for The Bachelor: After the Final Rose out of the Scrubs encore is certainly worth noting. And the hour will easily win the time period among adults 18-49. All in all, this was an A+ season for ABC’s rejuvenated The Bachelor. Who knew?

Considering the Monday night ratings not many people tuned into seeing what happened 6 weeks after the drama.
If there was any backlash it would have shown in last nights results, instead Part 2 grew substantially from the Scrubs repeat but also grew on the half hour.

Part 2 was basically a rehash of Monday's show with highlights included. I would of thought the show would drop on the half hour because nothing new was being discussed or revealed instead it grew. As Marc said, "Who knew?"

Which should have been expected. The show was basically a hightlight tape of the season and clips from the previous nights "After the Rose' show. In fact, rumours online already indicated Jillian would be announced as the new Bachorelette. To be honest, I'm shocked that it averaged more than 7 million viewers and a 3.0 in the demo. It's performance was better than ABC expected.

Marc, are those the three you think will go through or the three you think deserve to go through? And what about Ju'not - thought he and Felecia were the best of the night.
