Fascinating how McCain's pick could mirror the setup in ABC's former series 'Commander in Chief'....

Are those really final numbers? It seems every show except the DNC coverage took HUGE falls - Big Brother didn't even get 6 million viewers in finals, but got over 7 million in the overnights? Makes no sense.

Overnights were timeperiod ratings, not actual program. Therefore, pre-season football was included in the overnights which inflated the numbers.

Wow, I never thought of that. It is kind of strange how it works out like that, though. Maybe McCain was a huge fan of the show . . .
Does that also mean if shes elected (because McCain dies) she will be out of a job in a year?

The Clock is ticking on your time to enter this season's game! You have until Monday, September 1st, 2008 to make your roster so just a few days remain to pick the 10 shows that you WANT to get canceled!
Thanks for the data, Zedman2. Any chance Nielsen will release data on 'unique' viewers rather than the sometimes doubled 'viewership' that exists when people channel flip?
Aside from that, the most intereting note is that politics are definitely going to be a big deal for Fall TV...conventions, debates, and last minute commercial saturation.
This has already been posted, and can you just put everything in one post? Thanks!
on that note, I'll go one better and ask that the Big Brother people make a bit more effort to keep the details of the show out of the ratings threads. Some people do not want to be spoiled. If you want to talk Big Brother, go to the Big Brother thread and post to your heart's content.
