Household rating/share is first, followed by total number of viewers (in millions) and adult 18-49 rating/share. This time, it was CBS' chance to shine, with a first-place finish in five of the six half-hours (excluding 9:30 p.m.) in all three categories.

Ahh! I thought I was seeing things. If ABC and FOX keep this up, the CW will catch them in total viewers.

Not bad for the CW, bad for ABC and FOX. Why would it be bad for the CW?

The 1/2 hour data for Ghost Whisperer and Close to Home caught my eye.

Ghost Whisperer shot up by a good number of viewers at the half-way mark. I wonder what the cause for the sizable jump was?

Also, with Close to Home, they do a good job of keeping viewers tuned in for the whole hour. There is no drop off halfway through. Now only if they could get more 18-49 viewers to tune in!

Ghost Whisperer HH and 18-49 shares only increased by 1 point at 8:30.
The delivery increases, therefore, were due to increased HUT/PUT levels. Wink

Ghost Whisperer was the highest rated program in viewers and 18-49 for the night. 3.5 in the demo for the 8:30 hour is a good sign. A less than spectacular 2.5 in the demo for Close to Home is cause for concern (for that show).

The underrated Friday Night Smackdown! performs well AGAIN. I caught some of Trading Spouses last night.

The CW Television Network Presents: Gossip Girl

Considering how well Smackdown does, why wouldn't they move it to a higher viewing night.

Seems like it would be a nice Alternative on Tuesday or Wednesday.

L&O and Las Vegas did badly.

Las Vegas with a 2.5 in the demo? 9pm is the weakest slot on Friday's. What's up with that? Is everyone watching Monk on USA?

L&O loses to 20/20 in the demo?? Not good for Dick Wolf.

Is Psych on USA running new episode cutting into L&O's audience? It doesn't seem to hurt Numb3rs or 20/20. Or is the show just bad?

Smackdown is on the rise again. It's funny how FRIDAY of all nights is actually the one night where the CW does not need to worry. Once again if Smackdown can thrive on this new network then it's not about having a problem letting people know about the CW and more about people just not wanting to watch. The exception may be the Monday African American comedy block which a lot of African Americans actually think doesn't exist anymore.

If Smackdown does this well for the rest of the season, then the CW has accomplished something the WB was never able to, a stable, successful Friday night block. Tuesday's problem is Veronica Mars and Wednesday's problem is that One Tree Hill only does good when it's not up against Idol. One Tree Hill isn't too much to worry about because almost any show that's not on CBS would, but Veronica Mars does worse then OTH and it ISN't even up against AI.

ABC's and FOX's Friday nights are as bare as Britney Spears' bald head.

Ok, so it was a bad reference, but someone probably would have made a reference to Britney's decision to "crome her dome" at some point.
