Avoiding ever watching a show because you think it will quickly fail and get cancelled makes some sense, though, especially if there is something else in the timeslot that you want to watch. What I have more trouble understanding is people that quit watching a show they like out of fear it will be cancelled due to the falling ratings. Sure, the show will 'stop' without a 'ending' if it gets cancelled, but if they quit watching it, it will 'stop without an ending' for them when they quit watching. Their attempt at a 'preemptive strike' makes no sense since all they did was force exactly what they are claiming to be trying to avoid.
I think people that quit watching due to falling ratings are more of the 'bandwagon' crowd than they admit. Only a 'bandwagon' type person would need others to watch a show in order to keep enjoying watching it themselves.

I know that many people do not share my background interest in trying to understand the 'thought process' of mankind. However, your vitriol over my simply asking for an explanation of why being 'first' to dump a show gave you a feeling of 'thank God' is a bit over the top. Why people watch the shows they watch is directly tied to the Nielsen ratings, to what the networks should be trying to program in the future, and to how the networks should market their programs to the public. If you don't share an interest in any of those subjects, why not just move along to the next post without all of the 'gangster rap' posing?

Being that your picture isn't attached to your posts, I have no way of knowing the color of your skin and, despite your attempt to cry racism, I do not believe 'ganster rap' is confined to any one race. It is a mentality...the mentality of the kind of person that makes threats and uses cuss words in posts in an effort to sound tough.
