I say off with their heads, renew Eli Stone. At least it has growing potential.
All things considered, BL did well in it's move. In terms of viewers it grew from it's leadin and was almost 2 million viewers higher than Men In Trees. It's demo was in the low end of its normal range when it didn't have DWTS results leadin. It definitely has the edge over WMC but then again, WMC should be airing on Fridays or Saturdays not on Tuesday nights. The only down side to this of couse, is that next week BL is preempted and therefore any momentum in could gain will be lost. Very poor scheduling by ABC.
Why again is it preempted next week? A presidential debate?

I thought the exact same thing! And Paula looked very unconfortable! On the other hand, that call for Simon from his first crush was a good moment on Idol yesterday!

Second, CSI:NY proved last night why it does not deserve a post-Criminal Minds timeslot. It lost viewers despite less competition. Ridiculous. Law and Order in season 99 is younger skewing. Third, wish results were higher for Til Death but it did finish near the top in the overall weak 8pm hour. Similar situation to Moonlight actually, but it has a much better shot at returning because Fox loves the star power and needs regular comedies.
GA moved to Thursdays with bigger numbers. And that's just an example. If you move CSIM it would still get these type of numbers.

AI dropped 30% from a year ago. That's in CSI MIami territory

No matter how you see it the numbers for BL are very bad, just as bad as WMC's numbers. But they ate bad for Tuesday-Wednsday nights. The difference is that WMC showed it can pull those numbers on Fridays where 8 million 2 in demos is decent. If BL would be able to do that i think it deserves another season, but on fridays.

I have a question: what kind of numbers does The Closer pull on TNT? I know they're veru good, but how good?

Admittedly, that is a very steep drop for AI (year to year). We will see what happens when the finals come out. Was it particularly long last night? NBC better hope DOND rebounds in the Fall - as it did this Fall from last spring. CSI NY is showing weakness, but I doubt CBS would move it. That would even be more risky. Almost all the 10:00 shows have been disappointing, save for Lost, since their return from the strike. Maybe people got into a habit of going to bed earlier?

Or at least try an original concept. When was the last time reality television saw one? quote: Originally posted by metal: So, you can assume I don't have a life, that's fine, but in my humble opinion, television, movies and entertainment in general are a part of life, at least mine.
You know you have no life when you enjoy The Office.

Far more than I should being a college student but well, I love television! Shows I watch: Brothers and sisters, Aliens in America, Prison Break, Terminator-SCC, Heroes, Chuck, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, How I met you mother, The Big Bang theory, American Idol, America's next top model, Lost, Ugly Betty, Supernatural, The Office, 30 rock, Friday night lights, Moonlight. Those are the ones I always watch even if I don't care about some of them (AiA, PB, SCC, OTH, 30 rock, AI, ANTM) The ones I really love are Ugly Betty, Lost, Supernatural, The Office and FNL. I don't know if cable counts here? But I also love Dexter and Battlestar Galactica. I've also watched just about a little bit of every new show this year - Dirty sexy money, Life is wild, Reaper, Pushing Daisies, New Amsterdam... I watch a lot (not to mention shows of the past). None of my favourites are in danger of being cancelled this year, so that's good. I can live if Moonlight and AiA get the can. So, you can assume I don't have a life, that's fine, but in my humble opinion, television, movies and entertainment in general are a part of life, at least mine. Looking forward to discuss ratings with you all!
I watch alot of shows to it my life!!!!!!!!
Dude, honestly. You want people to get off your back on the forums, here is what you need to do. 1) Stop with the one liners that mean nothing. 2) Put some thought into your posts and make them relevant. 3) Before you hit that Post Now button, always double check your grammar and spelling. 4) If all you have to add is a one liner or no discussion (much like "I watch alot of shows to it my life!!!!!!!!"), don't post. 5) If you are going to post, make it relevant to the discussion at hand, have a point to make and actually take the time to write a cohesive, understandable post.

You're seriously not comparing Greys Anatomy and CSI to Boston Legal. You realize BL is not even on the level of those shows and so comparing them is ridiculous. And I highly doubt CSI:Miami would pull the same type of numbers if say you moved it to Tuesday at 10pm or even to Wednesday at 10pm.
