One thing to keep in mind about the critics' praise is that it was usually about the first two eps together. I'm pretty sure they got screeners of both eps.

So maybe something mind-blowing happens next week. Then again, that's what we Lost watchers tell ourselves every week. Smiler

For Supernatural at least, this episode did better than the third season premiere, before adding in the DVR numbers. It also bet the Fresh Blood episode (CW’s Supernatural (Viewers: #5, 2.89 million; A18-49: #5, 1.2/ 3). Not by much, but still beat it. I think the show did fine considering the cross-over audience it has with Lost. It could have been a lot worse. Next weeks episode looks fantastic!

Peace!

Actually didn't the season opener get 2.97 million viewers. If so thats higher then the 2.949 this week got.

I just read through this thread and **sigh** this board would be a much better place if people would just learn to ignore the troll it has been a whole year and people never learn.

As for Lost's ratings it did better then I expected, but what really surprised me is how well the clip show did! Of course next week the ratings are probably going to be down by 10-15% but still the show will do way better ratingswise this spring then the spring of last year.

I think a lot of people will be disappointed with last night's premiere, and they will have to work hard to avoid losing audience the same way they did last year.

Disappointed? I know this isn't necessarily a 'critical' forum, but the only disappointment is that we need to wait another week for the next episode.

Best show ever...period.

"Fresh Blood" got lower numbers for Supernatural. It was episode 7, before the Christmas episode, which went back up above 3 million.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS has put together a great season.

This is not a "watch it" rant. Just a quiet salute.

I'm not sure if I agree with this. But they did put together a great episode tonight. And they also put together a relatively long season. Wink
