Pisher, do you actually think ABC believed it would improve the ratings from the third season premiere? I mean, it was getting 12 million in the spring, has a show ever improved its ratings in 60% within a couple of episodes?
Sorry, but Criminal Minds couldn't do it even when airing after the SuperBowl
About viewers getting fed up, I'm just sorry for them. It's ok if you have the concentration-span of a poodle and can't sit through a tv show that poses questions and holds the answers until an appropriate moment. But the thing is, you might be missing on a show that, after the third season, has made some critics dare to say it's the best ever.
So, the numbers are great but...who cares? Now we know we're going to get 48 episodes no matter what ratings it gets (which was an amazing decision)! I don't even care if I'm the only one watching.
Then, should ABC be ashamed of this premiere? Obviously! They should pick up the Simpsons, right? THOSE are great ratings
