Are these the actual ratings? If so, what a weird night it was - CBS definitely benefited from ABC being in repeats. Survivor was up over a million from the previous week (and on par with last season), while CSI was up 3 million, and even Eleventh Hour was up 3 million. Very nice night for them.
ABC doesn't repeat well, and NBC hasd their usual night.
FOX - what a disaster they were, though. How could they not benefit from ABC being in repeats? Secret Millionaire was way off from the Wednesday airings, and 5th Grader - what happened there? Maybe FOX was better off leaving 5th Grader on Fridays. I guess the people expecting to watch Kitchen Nightmares tuned in, while no one else did.
I blame it on the little promotion, though. 9pm is probably too late for 5th Grader, and a lot of people probably didn't know both were on last night.
ABC: 8:00pm The Santa Claus (movie): 10.26, 3.5 10:00pm Primetime Live: 6.32, 1.9
CBS: 8:00pm Two and a Half Men (R): 9.76, 2.8 8:30pm How I Met Your Mother (R): 8.51, 2.8 9:00pm CSI (R): 17.68, 5.9 10:00pm Without a Trace (R): 15.06, 4.8
The major story is how bad FOX did. SM really fell in the ratings. It went from having great Wednesday ratings to terrible Thursday ratings. AYSTA5thG did worse on Thursday than Fridays. 1.2 demo? Looking at this performance, I don't think AYSTA5thG is going to be a Thursday option.
UB doesn't repeat well at all. 1.5 in the demos? PP didn't do much better. Grey's could barely get a 2.0 demo in repeats.
NBC took advantage of ABC being in repeats and got slightly better ratings.
CBS also benefitted as all three shows had very strong numbers, especially Eleventh Hour.
Certainly an impressive win by CSI, but frankly I expected a little better with the introduction of Lawrence Fishburne and GA in repeats. Still, it was a good episode and I think Fishburne will fit in well. The real test, however, will be after Petersen leaves in January. I have really been trying to like Eleventh Hour, but it is becoming laughable. The last 2 episodes have been beyond ridiculous. With sci-fi shows like Fringe I can suspend reality and go with the flow; but this show takes itself way too seriously. I can't imagine 13 million people will ever return to watch this show. It just shows what a good lead-in can do.
CBS Leading in Week 12; MyNetworkTV Cruising Along to a 2.4 Million Viewer Week
After four nights of Week 12, CBS leads in A18-49 with a 3.60 average. NBC is second with a 2.88 average in A18-49, with FOX third with 2.50, ABC with 2.05, Univision fifth with 1.68, MyNetworkTV sixth with 0.80 and The CW last with 0.76.
In viewers, CBS is way-out in front with an average 13,028,000 viewers, while NBC is second, ABC third, FOX fourth, Univision fifth, MyNetwork sixth (with a 2,288,000 viewer average) and The CW dead last.
Based on trends evident after four days and programming this weekend ('WWE Smackdown' tonight, and the broadcast premiere of 'Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties' tomorrow night), MyNetworkTV is on its way to a record-breaking week, and is expected to finish Week 12 averaging 1.4HH/2%, 0.8 in A18-49, and 2,400,000 million viewers.
Furthermore, if The CW was not experiencing such significant year-over-year erosion, this year the 7-net broadcasters would have had six straight nights of year-over-year gains in viewers and demos.

Tuesday: A: +14% V: +11%
Wednesday: A: -9% V: -9%
Thursday: A: -5% V: -3%
FOX was definitely disappointing last night - but, I'm sure people tuned in expecting to see Kitchen Nightmares, so I really don't blame the low ratings on the shows. I think if 5th Grader and Lyrics were airing there from the start, they'd be much stronger than they were last night.
Looking back at the day in history, I bet NBC misses the gold old days of The Apprentice. NBC never should have moved it out of Thursdays to begin with. They would have rathered the low-rated 30 Rock/Scrubs in the slot instead. Too bad NBC couldn't have brought it back to Thursdays at 9pm this midseason - it would be a better choice than airing it Sundays for 2 hours every week.
