OK, just one more political thing: SNL got that nnumber beacause people are still curious to see how stupid their possible VP is.

Since Palin has barely been allowed to appear on TV since Katie Couric and that disastrous debate, people were understandably curious. Wink

BTW hope Obama makes it alive untill the Election Day at least.

He's got a much better chance than McCain would have of living past his Inaugural Day.

One thing to remember about SCC: soon it will benefit from new Terminator movie (with Christian Bale) hype.

As for Chuck: sigh...

Too many good shows on Monday, NBC and Fox should move some to Thursday or Tuesday.

Pisher, I got a feeling that you don't like any show, but I laughed very much at this post of yours "They never wanted to succeed", hahahaha.

I like lots of shows, but I have to say, probably nothing on the air now is going on my alltime faves list.

And I'm nobody's unpaid PR flak.

With the increase in viewership and demo numbers, I respectfully disagree with Chuck being listed as a loser. It's not a winner of course either. But I'm not going to argue that too much because it's just Marc's opinion and we all have biases towards some shows, hehe.

I admit I thought, after the drop in ratings of Chuck to about 5.8 - 6 million viewers after the season premiere, that the show didn't have much of a chance of getting a season 3 (even moving it to another night may not have helped). With the boost in ratings this week though it may have a chance. The ratings didn't dip back below 6 million like some thought when SCC came back this week.

The boost this week also gives me a little more confidence that it can get better ratings on a night with less competition. (Chuck's ratings last year were ok but not nearly strong enough to take on strong, established shows; it's not that popular of a show). I still would prefer that because of the conflict with How I Met Your Mother (the two nights I have shows on I like - Monday and Thursday - there are conflicts, oh well).

Hopefully this isn't just a one week thing for Chuck and it can improve on these ratings. I'm no expert, but I would think this weeks numbers put it on the bubble for getting renewed but still aren't good enough (even for a struggling network like NBC). If it can get another boost and get what it had last year (high 7 millions and around a 3 in the demo) I think it will get renewed. But even if it doesn't, and the ratings drop next week, at least it should get an entire second season which is better than nothing.

I am surprised FOX stuck with SCC; looks like all the fans of that show were right about it.

Actually, she has just announced she'll be doing interviews with CNN and NBC here real soon. And the article I read said she has also allowed journalists to travel with her on her planes here recently.

Oh right, nobody ever thought of that before. Roll Eyes

It won't benefit from the movie hype--and frankly, I'm not so sure that movie will be a hit. Bale has not been much of a draw away from Batman. People are just sick of the whole Terminator shtik. The idea was all used up by the time T2 came out.

And if they did, and when they tanked, you'd blame the networks for confusing people.

The problem with the networks is that they aren't developing good shows--and SCC, PD, and ES are all prime examples of their penchant for shallow pretentious crap.

You can keep track of it here: http://pifeedback.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/928108451/m/22...=684101761#684101761

Thanks!

And yes, for Live+SD numbers, that is a season high for One Tree Hill. And it tied it's highest demo in 18-34.

WOWWWWWW--a VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE actually allowed members of the press on her plane? That is so AWESOME. Now let's see some actual interviews that ask actual questions. Big Grin

In the meantime, Joe Klein, former McCain kool-aid drinker, now says he can't get on McCain's plane, because of his recent critical remarks about the tone of McCain's campaign. Even though after he was outed as the author of Primary Colors, he could still ride on Air Force One with the Clintons.

Say what you will about Hillary--she's not as much of a beyotch as John McCain.

But Marc is a lot better than most people here in terms of not allowing his biases to affect his picks. Face it, Chuck is a loser. It's not the BIGGEST loser--actually, does it even get ratings as good as The Biggest Loser?

TSCC is a lot better now then the first few episodes of the first season.. much more story then action... Critics have noticed this and have been giving the show a lot of support.

So with the positive buzz and of course "Terminator Salvation," as well as Thomas Dekker landing a role in the "Fame" remake...

We get more TSCC and pisher gets more to bitch about.. everyone here is happy

She won't give a single press conference before the election. I write it again, not ONE press conference. That is a first for a candidate in modern times. And she won't release any of her her medical records either, for whatever reason. She is a disgrace to the Republican party and the United States, and possibly to the World if elected (May God protect us from such a calamity).

(BTW, please watch Chuck and SCC, they have really improved in quality from their first season)

They'll shrug and forget about the show forever after it's canceled.

FOX decided to double up on a bad bet. As I thought they might. Big Grin

I'm ECSTATIC--I'll get to watch SCC fans tear their hair out over the ratings. And scream obscenities at FOX when they do what they shoulda done already.

Life is good. But SCC is not.
