Yeah, those 5th Grader numbers on MNTV are actually pretty good. I'm sure both it and Lyrics would have been around the 6 million, 1.5 demo range if FOX had left them on Fridays, which would still be well above what they're doing now and fairly competitive. FOX was beyond stupid for letting this duo go.
Where were these numbers?

Former 24 heroine Reiko Aylesworth has booked a recurring role on Damages, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Not surprisingly, details about her character are being kept under wraps. The actress joins a season 3 cast that also includes new series regulars Campbell Scott and Martin Short, as well as special guest stars Lily Tomlin and Keith Carradine.
Production of the show’s 13-episode third season began last week ahead of a January debut.
Interesting concept. Out of all the networks, it would best work on NBC.

A bidding war is raging over a drama spec script backed by J.J. Abrams.
ABC, CBS and NBC are in pursuit of the hot script by writer Josh Reims who first worked with Abrams on his WB series "Felicity."
The project, from Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV, centers on two spies working together who are also husband and wife.
The show, whose premise is somewhat reminiscent of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," sparked a bidding war the moment it hit the marketplace last week, with ABC, NBC and CBS jockeying up for the lead position.
According to sources, ABC and NBC now appear ahead in the negotiations to land the script.
The untitled project brings Abrams back into the spy arena that he mined with his ABC series "Alias."
Abrams, co-creator/executive producer of Fox’s sci-fi drama series “Fringe,” got a presentation order from Fox earlier this month for a half-hour project written by Mike Markowitz.
I let my guard down with Fringe, and where did it get me? Another promising start that is increasingly looking like it's going to end up nowhere (even if the show gets to a third season, which I am not betting against).
I will never get sucked into a Bad Robot show again. I've said it before--JJ Abrams promises the moon, then shows you his ass.

I'm watching back to back episodes of the Good Wife. I admit that I've never been a fan of the overrated Juliana Marguiles and I love courtroom shows. However, this show just has no bite to it... what am I missing?
Without A Trace was so much better...

I don't see any appeal to it at all. Chalk up success to time slot so far.

This might just be me but I love me some Julianna Marguiles so I really enjoy The Good Wife. I wouldn't call TGW a timeslot hit yet since it grew from it's premiere with a weaker lead in. I guess this show has less bite so to speak since I suppose they are going the more character driven road.

The fact that its a character driven show has nothing to do with it. ABC's character driven hits are bigger than all CBS shows demographically. The problem in my mind is that it looks like it would skew to the nursing home crowd. But I won't lose any sleep over if it survives. ABC didn't do a good job of counter programming with the Forgotten, which was a total snore.
