LOL. True, true. And you know what? I'm gonna help some people out there get a jump on tomorrow's thread: The Office is not a mass appeal hit, either. And it never will be.

Actually, the Wed edition always had pretty low numbers compared to the Mon edition. I think these numbers are pretty in line with the overall dip in tv ratings across the board. The Monday numbers, however, are a lot more disturbing. They are not much better than these, yet used to be a LOT bigger.
I know it scary.. I think they have it on T.v so much that NBC is starting to do what ABC did to Who wants to be a Millionair.

Hopefully it is the end for Pussycat Dolls: Girlicious or whatever band name they come up with next time. Those numbers do not justify a renewal. Its only hope is the newly vacant CW Fridays but the main audience for the Pussycat Dolls will be out and the ratings would just plummet. Good to see Law and Order post such great numbers. The ratings shouldn't fall too much now that Anthony Anderson is taking over. Just end Men In Trees. How many times can ABC move this show and fail? It is becoming another According to Jim. The audience just isn't there. TD and B2Y will get another 13 to improve and try to get better. As I said before, FOX needs to program a full comedy night on Wednesdays. That being said, if something like The Inn or Spaced takes off more in the fall than TD and B2Y, FOX won't hesitate to cancel them. In the case of TD, it should probably be cancelled already and I don't see the benefit of another 13. Wife Swap and Supernanny do well for what they are meant to do, Friday night programming or filling in spots. They are never going to be stand alone break out hits, but they are good gap fillers. Just For Laughs is also in the same boat.

Howie Mandel would be under the "Game Show Hosts" category, so he'd be eligible for the Daytime Emmys, not the Primetime ones (Regis won one for WWTBAM, and it was at the daytime awards).
I am looking forward to the Star Wars DoND next week- but the 2 hour eps have got to stop next season.
As to BB- I think Adam wins. Ryan has too much baggage with Jen (the jury won't want to win through him), and he was the one who got blood on his hands when he did the major evictions (Sharon was an example- Ryan could have saved her with a veto, but didn't)- Adam sorta skated by with promises, is pretty well liked, and has a spokesperson in Sheila. It won't be a sweep, but I'm thinking 5-2 Adam. It's been a weak season, but hey, only 79 days 'til BB 10 starts! (or 4 days til BB Australia starts if you need a fix)...

According to Media Life, "Top Model" won in the hour in adults 18-34. "Back to You" finished 1st in the money demo? Book that show for a second season.

Yes, it could be. Last week's new CSI:NY vs. a repeat L&O Viewers: 13.35 CSI:NY 6.20 L&O Demo: 3.7 CSI:NY 1.8 L&O This week's new L&O vs. a repeat CSI:NY Viewers: 12.63 L&O 7.73 CSI:NY Demo: 3.7 L&O 2.1 CSI:NY The verdict? CSI:NY holds up better in reruns, with a 1.5 mil and 0.4 more in the demo, but is practically neck-and-neck with new eps (.7 mil more views and same demo). quote: Originally posted by mushu_jj: NBC: Modest DOND. Absolutely.

With FOX's recent track record with new series, keeping Back To You may be the safer plan of action. The last thing we need is another.... Heck, I have already forgotten all those sitcoms that have aired within the Animation block.

Actually they are much better than JFL. JFL sucks it up in both views and demo. I recall some recent eps that got a paltry 1.3 or something? At least Wife Swap can pull above a 2. Not really noteworthy, but not so anemic as to warrent an immediate pull (as I think JFL does).

I agree that the numbers are 'decent' for FOX sitcoms. However, I think the show has limited up potential simply because both leads have played the same character for a decade or two already.

With both shows going after the exact same audience, The one with an original episode against the others repeat will look really good, while the other... not so much. When both are on equal ground, CSI: NY does usually do better.

except that this was a special l&o episode with a major cast member leaving...l&o should have done better...yes l&o will hurt csi:ny but at the end of the day you will find csi:ny on top but weakened a bit and l&o as a very solid 2nd....unfortunately these two franchises are to similar...they devour eachothers audiences
