Country ballad? I'm sorry. I'll have to ask you to leave.

Hee. DWTS isn't any more legitimate than Idol. It's a popularity contest. Nothing more. It would be lovely if those two shows cannibalized each others' numbers.
You could say I'm not a fan of reality television in general.

They have to throw Mike Darnell a bone every now and then.

It didn't transfer well? Shoot. I have heard nothing but good reviews, but those are from Tim Minear fans.
Oh, I'm a huge fan. Which is why, after reading the fantastic script and expecting magic... I was kinda disappointed. But they ARE recasting several roles and reworking some of the plots. I think one of the big issues from the version I saw (which, in a show called Drive, they're going to have to deal with) was the car sequences themselves. I mean, it's cool to do SFX moves and zooms from one car to another... but it's also kinda a waste of time? And the over-greenscreening (thanks to how much time characters are spending in the cars, and how they, in the cars, have to interact with other character/car combinations...) was fairly painful.

For me, as I am sure with millions of others as well, I enjoy seeing the banter between the judges, particularly airhead Paula Abdul.
Marc,
I can't believe that you allow yourself to get sucked into that show. I've never watched it except for the final show the second year when it was between Ruben and Clay Aiken. I don't get the appeal of it--I just don't. But to each his own I say.

How long will IDOL mania last, &&how long does FOX have to make more hits to survive a season without IDOL?

Any word on how the NFL Network fared with their first exclusive regular season game?
It's been a huge controversy among sports fans in many areas, since the NFL is playing hardball with cable systems, trying to get into the basic tier like ESPN.
I don't think I get that network as I do have Cablevision and I remember the stink a few years ago about the YES network. Does anyone know if Cablevision gets the NFL channel??
