Yes, another typo for Mr. TV! Smallville was 2.04 million viewers. Sorry, folks.

Or do the Supernatural numbers happen to be a typo?
I think the Smallville numbers are a typo. Marc put 4.05 (Top Model's viewers from Wednesday night) then 2.04. It think 2.04 is Smallville's number (would make sense if CW averaged 1.71 million viewers).
I'm personally getting tired of Ugly Betty. When the show comes back next season, will she still be wearing braces???
I still find it endearing, quirky, and hilarious.
But I do wonder how long they can keep it up. They've seemingly run the gamut with the "mystery woman" and that whole subplot. But I like that they've humanized all of the so-called villains (Amanda, Marc, Wilhelmina). I think I'm in for the long haul.
Marc: Were last night's shows coded as "Specials" -- i.e., that they don't count toward season averages? I know that's std on X-mas Eve, Xmas, NYE and NYD. Just curious because CSI passed GA last week in season-to-date viewers and was just a hair behind DH for #1. (Not that it will matter when: 1) repeats really kick in during December; and 2) AI comes back, unless ABC puts DTWT against it, which could knock down AI a bit -- or be completely disasterous for ABC.) It's all about the numbers, baby! LOL
[QUOTE]Originally posted by Marc Berman Sweeps or no sweeps, I think it is a total waste airing original programming on Thanksgiving given the lower HUT levels. The networks would be better served if they utilized these originals later in the season.
Marc, I totally agree. Given that pretty much everything was down, it would have been wise to air repeats. And CSI was really good last night.
BTW, perhaps FOX should consider movies more frequently on Thursday and Friday.
Thanks, Marc. If they are "specials," further evidence that networks should go with repeats or true specials! (Perfect night for serials like GA to show a recap epi.) NBC probably did the best thing with DOND.

Ugly Betty aired a pretty good Thanksgiving episode... last week! I, like hopefully many other people, assumed last night's episode would be a repeat. Or maybe they should have aired the Thanksgiving episode on Thanksgiving!
NBC and FOX were the only networks who actually did better then last week. Let's look at why. NBC put up a Thanksgivig themed Deal or No Deal which is a family show. And FOX aired a popular movie. Also, if FOX is getting these numbers with Movies on Thanksgiving, I am also agreeing with the person who says FOX should consider airing movies on Thursday and Friday more. They dont cost much to air, and produce better Ratings.

the thankksgiving night "new episodes" thing is like a pricing war between airlines. when one does it, the others have to. they used to run repeats and i think it changed with home alone airings then new friends episodes and it gre from there. but now if ABC was the only one who decided to just go all new... cbs would get it's butt kicked with important sweeps numbers. it's either gonna be they all do it or none of them do.
