i assume this is an experiment to see if ratings go up or down, i think it will have no effect, anyways you can find almost any show you miss online from alternate sources anyways
I think it is a decent try. I think House became appointment television because Fox did not have it available online until the beginning of this season.

Well, just because Smackdown! is moving to MNT doesn't mean it's an automatic life-saver. They have to promote it some how, and I don't think they have much money to do extensive promotion. I don't think the word will be known very well that it's on MNT, let alone if anyone even knows what channel MNT is for them.
The difference with WWE though is that WWE can do its own promotion to some extent and that's why I think it will work.

I doubt FOX will pay anything to CBS corp. to grab the UPN name. FOX2 may not be a bad idea, but may confuse people and hurt FOX1
My Network TV is not a very good name. Sounds more like a second or third tier cable net than a Broadcast network.
Perhaps a name like USB (United States Broadcasting) or ABN (American Broadcating Network)
USB would be a bad idea. I think of USB cables or a USB cord.
Does anyone, probably Dumont, know if MyNetworkTV has any name changes, or anything changes, in plan for the future? Considering the proof from last night this net is going to fail, I would assume so.
Most of the affiliates are now going with the shorter and more efficient MyTV. Over time, I could see the network evolve towards this name.

Too bad that the wealth on Gossip Girl is fictional, it could be used to invest in better programs and overhaul the current management.

Thats the name I use instead of the full name or even MNTV.
Long story short...the show's publicist says Ayda Field's character "ran its course," while the shop opted to go in a "different direction" with the Gracie character.
Thanks for that link. I agree with Rob actually that the news director should have gotten replaced first. It would be more interesting if he were more of a Lou Grant type rather than some unrealistic wimp.

I really like the Newsroom Director Character. He's goofy and funny.
I think the core 5 they have left is a good group. Perhaps have a running gag (not unlike Murphy Brown) that their is a different Weather Person. You can highlight the "Serious" Weather Channel Wanna-be to the Ditsy Blonde and everything in between.

1. Survivor: Micronesia ( 7.2 rating/12) 2. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? (5.6/10) 3. My Name is Earl (4.5/ 8) 4. 30 Rock (4.5/ 7) 5. Lost (2.9/ 5) 6. Smallville (2.7/ 5)
Smallville actually has a shot of not being last in its time slot.
5th Grader looks to have pulled about 10 million against a heavy hyped Survivor and New Earl.

Normally, the 'big network' shows pull ahead more with the more complete data that starts to include markets where CW is only available as a digital subchannel or some such thing. This does show just how bad Lost is as a repeater, though. How many times is ABC trying to air each of the Lost episodes?
